    evening!

Ellie - thanks managed to get it all done but think I overdid it with my wrist which is a bit swollen again - its hard trying to rest when you're not used to it!;) glad your medical went ok.

Had toad in the hole for tea - best toad I've ever made thanks to the yorkie recipe in the Asda magazine!:T have made and cooked some extra so hope it freezes ok!

Off to go dog walking soon before a nice soak in the bath. Plan a much lazier day tomorrow.

DS1 has got his dream job - presenting and running 3 different in-store type radio stations, the only trouble is its over an hours drive away but he's very excited about it so hope it all works out.

    Have a good evening all
    may pop back later xxx

mioliere - hope you get better news re MIL
pooky so pleased about the house but take the advice about your deposit! Do the letter once you get the dosh back.

Sorry too about those who have Dads with problems. I am sure things will work out.

Well, today DH took me round places which I would normally have gone to myself - bank, building society, collect prescription etc etc. Had lunch out in a local pub as we wanted to check it out to see if we could take visitors there early November. No, £22.00 for a very mediocre lunch and one beer and one small glass of wine. Of course I had to have an hour's nod when I got home. I just can't do daytime drinking but good at the time.

All the loft rubbish now out on the pavement as binmen come from 7.00 am tomorrow. Have small amount of ironing which I can do now study is cleared of boxes. I have set the bath for an overnight soak with bio washing powder. I like to do this every so often as I feel it really soaks off any scum.

Tomorrow hope to start the garden but a quick hoover round as I know we brought loads of dirt out of loft tonight with the old bits of carpet.

Mum has phoned regarding the poor Flying Flowers and I will get more next week - wish she had got a refund!!!

Hope everyone else OK and that school reports are fine.

    Love

A busy day at w*** today, lots of little ones full of colds and coughs, sharing their germs with everyone, although we do encourage them to share!
We had hm spag bol from the freezer for tea followed by fruit.

taplady - So glad your son has got such an exciting job. We all just want to the kids to make their own way, don't we?

Still getting pms by the way. Thank you and I am replying. Very much appreciated but I do feel fine thanks.

Just waiting to get my hospital appointments for the heart monitor and then follow-up Outpatients. Finding it difficult not being able to drive - I am usually so independent!

  • TWINKS ARE YUMMY!! - thank you Twink for such a lovely recipe, OH and I are stuffing ourselves on them as we speak - I made a batch as soon as I got in from work! :T

As predicted, I did not complete my to do list. Envelopes are still sitting unstuffed in the conservatory so I must get stuck into them tomorrow and by the time I reached the stairs with the hoover, I just lost my will to continue - I was distracted by delicious biscuit recipes :p . Those jobs are top of my to do list tomorrow but I do have a slightly busier day at work and I'd hoped to squeeze in a martial arts lesson with a friend of mine who teaches me for free :D Still, I can always do my envelopes in front of the rugby on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday :T

  • Evening all
Don't know where the lodgers got to, I'm assuming she's gone into town as it's late night shopping.
The up side is it gave me time to make a weetabix cake with apple & blackberries. The downside is, I'll be getting phone calls in a while as she won't have remembered to take her bus timetable with her & also she'll be crashing around in the kitchen until all hours, so I can see a sleepless night ahead.
See you all in the morning.

evening all - exhausted - just sitting down with a coffee and the umpteenth twink of the day while ddad is in the bath. My auntie went back home so only dad staying tonight. he is havng some pension trouble which he thought I would know all about as I work for the government (ministry of justice dad not ministry of beggared up pensions) but I told him I would "ask martin" so need to keep an eye on that. he has doen nearly 800 miles since getting here on tuesday. tomorrow we are taking dd to the imperial war museum nd then going to teddington for "bremner bird and fortune" recording - hoping it will give him a break as he' very emotional at the moment. little dd has been wide-eyed at his stories about being in care - she thinks she's quite hard done by as she's allowed two tv programmes a night and only gets a dairylea dunker if she pays for it herself - she's being very cuddly tonight.
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
