O,S Daily thread Thurs 18/10

Options
off to get the sticky

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thurs 18/10/07. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

  • Morning Mrs Mix, N9eav & all who follow on either thread.
Very brisk here this morning, but no frost, probably cos we are so low lying.
Nearly half term & I can't wait, I have 2 days off & a 9am start instead of 7:30 woo hoo, will probably still be getting up at 5 for hubby as he has 2 weeks work, after a while without. I
I have loads of sewing planned & also a trip to the new Lidl that's opened the other side of town.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

  • Good morning everyone! I have the morning at home, then off to w*** this afternoon. It's our AGM this evening, and luckily I got out of having to act in the role play  that we're putting on ;) When I'm done there, I'm on holiday for half term :j :T We're off to Leicester for the weekend (hotel and trip to Space Museum) so I need to pack this morning.

Going to make some more jam, and ice a cake I made. Need to clean the kitchen and bathrooms, too. I've sorted some books out, which I'm going to list on Green Metropolis.

Tortillas for tea - made by the Small Penguins.

Have a great day, Penny. x

Morning all..yet again a crisp fresh day here...

I have no house work to do.. ... and i want to clean..so i may send myself down into the cellar rooms and have a sort out - have some boxes that went down there as we didn't need the stuff straight away.. extra kitchen stuff etc.... so may have a rummage through there... how sad can i get!!
after that im going to sit and cross stitch :T .....

Having roast chicken, potatoes and veg for dinner.. not sure what im having for lunch - but hubby tootled off to work with another flask of HM soup and some HM bread - so that should keep him warm for the day :D .

Hope everyone has a great day today...
hugs to all those in need

    Morning All

N9eav - glad the party went well.

Brrr its very chilly here, heating is on. Enjoying a coffee and have just checked the banks online.

Plan for today is more cleaning. Will deep clean front room & dining room. Hoover and wash all the floors. Have really caught up with myself (altho not the ironing) as I just want to keep on top of it all each day. Leaves me the weekend to sort my office out.

Cant wait for half term - although I only have an extra half hour in bed it makes a real difference and its lovely not to rush in the mornings.

DD has parents evening, we have appointments with various teachers over 2 hours! It will have to be something quick for tea.

    Have a great day.

Morning OS'ers, a bit chilly here today, but not too bad.

Just having a quick read on here, then I'm off to shower and then into work for a quick visit.
Miss Twit finished school yesterday lunch time, so she's still sleeping. Mr Twit has been parcelled off to work.
We are off to the Trafford Centre today with some friends, but I have to go to the bank first.
    So, skates on.

I hope the poorlies are feeling better and those with the thread cold soon get rid of it.
    Take care all....

  • Morning all!:j

I'm feeling quie perky today and it seems most of you that have posted so far are too! Apart from the odd sniffly and not wanting to go to w*** :p so ((((HUGS)))) to those that need them and advance ((((HUGS)))) to anyone not on yet :D

I've only got three clients to train today at 4, 5 and 6.15 so my plans for today are:

Bring in the boxes of labels and envelopes out of my car and actually start working on them - I think I'll give this a couple of hours.

Go for a quick warm-up run with the dog then do some weights in the living room - Everyone round here laughs when I go running with my dog, he's a miniature Yorkshire terrier and he looks like a little clockwork toy on the end of his lead! :rotfl:

Have a lovely warm bath and do my fake tan - its the only way I don't look like death warmed up in the winter.

I'm using leftover veggie shepherds pie mix, leftover cheese sauce and leftover fresh lasagne to make myself a veggie lasagne for lunch - yum yum

I will hoover through the house and wash the lounge floor - the only things I didn't get done yesterday.

In between I also have to do a menu plan for the week for one of my clients who pays me extra to tell her exactly what to eat! She's one of my star pupils and has lost almost a stone in 8 weeks! :T (for those of you that don't know, I'm a personal fitness trainer and contrary to popular belief, that doesn't mean I earn loads of money! Too many trainers, not enough clients.)

My dinner will be soup tonight as I'm getting home at 7.30 and I don't like having my main meal that late. Sausages, Jacket potato and cabbage from the garden for my OH if I can scrap enough money out of the copper jar for some potatoes!

Anyway that's my plan for the day, no doubt I won't fit it all in but the thought was there.:p

Hope you all have a lovely day, I'll pop back at lunchtime.

  • Hi everyone,

Feeling a bit ropey today. Actually am glad for the crisp morning because might make me feel a little less ick while I'm out in a mo driving DS1 to work. He's about to take his D test in 3 weeks so I may finally get out of that little job soon. Hmmm but then that 15 mins is when we have some of our closest convos. Maybe should just enjoy it while I've got it. :)

Will check back later as I can't even think what I need to do yet today or what I'm supposed to make for tea. Have a good day everyone else.
