Saw ourselves on TV when Bremner Bird and Fortune went out on Sunday, but we only saw ourselves becasue we knew where we were sitting IYSWIM. No one would have spotted it was us unless they knew.
.
ooh ooh - taking dad to see this tomorrow - was it fun or were there lots of retakes
samsam - my dad isn't dutch - he went over there when I was about 8 - some ahem 31 years ago - he met a wonderful woman there and is now married to her and has 2 lovely children with her. my dbro went to live with him at 15 and is now married to her younger sister - my kids hate it when they have to draw our family tree at school.
A part of the journey he is on involves him exploring his blame for the miserable upbringing my self and my siblings had even though he had wanted us to have the perfect childhood that he didn't. we will be doing that today. In my opinion his only sins were ones of ommision - I don't think he was in a position to have taken the four of us with him, when we saw him we didn't say anything as we were scared but his now wife says tht she could see the signs and did mention things to him, i should imagine as well that it was pretty unheard of for a father to take the children in a divorce without very very strong grounds. there was nothing like childline in those days so we just put up with it. He has more than made up for it with his support of us as grown ups and in the way he is bringing up my little sisters. all of us have a good relationship with him whereas only one of us speaks to my mum
a twink is shorthand for twink's wonderful hobnob like biccies which i'm afraid to say the mousies have been at again and unless my visitors get here soon they may find the biccie tin empty - they are not, despite what that naughty AussieLass says, a scottish pest -
I'm bored now waiting for everyone to turn up - do you think if I go and turn out an embarassing cupboard they might comeI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

BACK LATER XXDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Just a quick "Hello" as I am hoping to get DH to give us a lift into York so DD and I can get a flu jab at Boots.
The flu season in Australia has been bad and it looks as if it could be the same here so am trying to talk the family into getting the jab as well.
No sooner had I booked the appointment than I get told that Superdrug is offering the same thing for £10 - five pounds cheaper!!!
Might make cauli cheese and baked potato tonight to "butter up" DH as he loves that.
Hester

Just taking a break before hanging my next washing load out. Still don't feel too good and thanks for all the well wishes.
Think I might just have to take the afternoon off and take to my bed. Not at all feeling myself and then didn't realise until DS2 came and put his arms around me that my eyes were all filling up with tears. I'd been reading stefejb's posts - so sad how some peoples lives have been. Hopefully a much better future lies ahead for you all.
Pooky - was so pleased to hear you'll be in that nice new home soon.
Mioliere - sorry for your MIL and her husband. Hope she improves quickly.
Well I'll get that washing out and then get off to bed with a copy of The Friday Night Knitting Club that I've got from the library.
Have a good day all.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £58.95/ £250

Really fancy going to Center Parcs for half term, but its soo expensive holiday time and usually booked up:o nevermind, will have to sort out some "days out" instead!
