Thanks all, I’ve had a lovely day, passed by far too quickly though. We put the world to rights and then some over a few glasses of Prosecco. Can’t believe my friend lives somewhere that’s still on 3G though, good grief 🤣
Enjoyed a quick mooch around the shops first, come home with a bag full of assorted Christmas tat 😆 Also bought myself a new top and t shirt nightie from M&S.
All in all a good day and Mr SA is very happy with his shoes. On another note his scooter broke down yet again and he has another courtesy one 🙁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Glad to hear you had a good time! And also that Mr SA is happy with his shoes! Shame about the scooter though. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

That sounds like a real break of a day, and well deserved, too.
What a nuisance about the scooter.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Happy Saturday 🥂
Feeling slightly delicate this morning, probably wasn’t the best idea to have a large glass of red wine last night after drinking Prosecco all day. Should’ve just been drinking water really but that’s far too sensible for me (and boring) 🤣🤣
It’s not put me off putting a bottle of fizz in the fridge for tonight so I’m not that bad 😆I’m off to the big Mr Ts later to pick up some dog food and a paper. DS and the GKs arriving after lunch.
Mr SA’s not happy about the scooter breaking down again, it’s a brand new top of the range one. Although he has a courtesy scooter it’s a lot smaller. We’re supposed to be picking up a microwave from Lidl special buys tomorrow so hope it fits on.Looking forward to Strictly tonight 💃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
The scooter nonsense sounds a real pain especially as the replacement is smaller.I'm sure your sore head will be ok and ready to handle the fizz this evening!🤪. I'm looking forward to Strictly as well - can't wait to see what AJ is doing tonight! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Glad you had a good day with your friend ,you can class the fizz as a hair of the dog 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204

I was fine after I had a decent lunch, soaked it up 😆 The GKs have just gone. DGD has taken the Christmas fairy I bought yesterday because she ‘loves it so much’. Going to have to buy another one now. She made me laugh as she called her mum by her full first name, middle name and surname, just like my mum used to do to me when I was in trouble, wonder if she’s heard her mum’s mum saying it 🤣 She picks up on everything you have to be so careful what you say.
DS took Mr SA to get the pebbles for the garden. He said it was a nightmare with him stumbling about all over and someone had to help him to get him back in the car. I’m glad someone else has experienced what it’s like taking him out.
DS had a new sleeveless jacket and now Mr SA wants one 🙄 He also wants yet another wallet. So the pestering hasn’t stopped with the canvas shoes.

Can you tell Mr SA that anything he "wants" now has to go on the Christmas list?
Or, can you recycle old (good as new) items? What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
You'll have to get an 'Elf on the Shelf' to monitor Mr SA's behaviour.....#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3665

I think that's a good idea from satchmo1, @Sun_Addict, about all 'wants' going on a list for Santa. It would give you some some hopefully useful ideas & you'd know that they are items Mr SA wants. How annoying about the scooter problems. My Mum relied on hers as although she could walk perfectly well, she had a rare illness which caused significant muscle weakness after too much exertion. Scooters are a lifeline for so many people's independence.
