I think there could be a lot of elderly people die of cold this winter if it is a cold one and a lot of people are really going to struggle to pay for fuel and food. A very hard year for some.

I think this winter fuel payments business needs to be sorted and go to those who really need it. I have retired friends who are quite well off who get it plus I listen to the (very funny) Older and Wider podcast and the comedian Jenny Eclair gets it, she donates it to charity but it should go to those less fortunate. There needs to be some sort of shake up in this respect.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

On a lighter note, that’s me finished work for 9 days 🥳 Had another call about the development opportunity and it’s not anything I haven’t done before so should be a doddle.Next week will be all about clearing the garden before the council stop collecting the bins for winter, a trip to the garden centre to look at the Christmas bits and the catch up with my friend. We’ll go out for lunch at some stage too.
Not that many fireworks locally tonight, the cat was watching them from the window and the dog wasn’t bothered. I listened to a bit of the Classic FM calming music for pets while I was in the bath, I’m not really a classical music fan, I like my dance music to be honest, it was ok, couldn’t listen to it all night though. Reminded me of years ago DD used to love classical music, she used to ask me to play ‘that music without words’ 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Your animals sound very chilled….our dogs used to cuddle up and. Sleep through them when in the house but weren’t keen if any went off and they were outside.January spends - £587.584

Enjoy your lovely break. I like classical music, but can’t listen to it for long either…I prefer 80’s and 90’s pop where I can remember all the words 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I have been to various medical appointments this week including 2 long MRI scans with headphones and its been 80's music all the way.
It must drive some of the younger staff mad. I wonder if its an average age/maximum appeal thing or just noone ever bothers to change it.
I did seem to be word perfect for a lot of it.7 -
Happy Saturday 🥂
I didn’t wake up until 6 so the body clock must’ve finally reset. Mr SA and the dog not up yet so it’s very quiet.
I need to go to the local shops today, will only be a small spend. After that the plan is to take the dog to a big park about 25 minutes walk away. The oddbox is arriving after 7pm tonight. I still think it’s weird how it will arrive overnight. Hopefully it won’t be eaten or rummaged through by foxes etc.Strictly tonight 💃 Bottle of rose cava chilling in the fridge already, having a change from Prosecco. Pizza and salad night too.Have a fabulous Saturday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
