That’s Thursday done and another ticked box exercise day in the office.I was on my own again in the office. Spoke to one person first thing just to say good morning. I opened the window as per the rules but I was so cold and as there was no one else around I closed it. I mentioned it in a call to my team leader and she said I must keep it open. I didn’t reopen it because she wasn’t there to witness it. Not long after that an email arrived from building management saying if you’re sitting on your own there’s no need to open the window. I rest my case 😆
I went to Sainsbury’s at lunchtime, got back to work thought stuff it, packed up my things and came home. Popped into Lidl on the way as it was the last day to spend my £10 off voucher.
Had the call about the project and it sounds right up my street. Got another call tomorrow. The woman I spoke to said she’d help me any way she could to get promotion. She was really pleased to get me on board.I’m shattered tonight, I’ll be lucky if I’m still awake at 8 the way I feel. I’m having a portion of veg curry from the freezer for dinner and Mr SA is having sausage and mash so not much cooking to do thank goodness.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Finally it's Friday.
Still waking up an hour early, my body clock is not liking the clocks going back.
Thank goodness back to WFH today. Last working day before my week off.
Today will be NSD 2/12 of November. Got plenty in, no need to go out again until tomorrow.
Nice sunny day so 2 loads of washing to go out although there was a light frost this morning so it might not dry properly.
We don't do anything for Bonfire Night, used to when the kids were little. Nothing worse than standing outside in the freezing cold in my opinion. There's going to be a big display on the park across the road tomorrow night so will be able to watch it from the comfort of my bedroom window seat. The park will be closed all day tomorrow to set it up so we'll have to take the dog elsewhere. Thankfully neither of the fur babies are bothered by fireworks.
Have a fabulous Friday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Our dog is terrible with fireworks so we are expecting a bad weekend with him.3

Totals update, not done this for absolutely ages:
Mortgage £13,365.07
Further advance £5,731.16 (have been overpaying this by £100 for the past 2 months)
Windows/door £4186.22
Credit card £0
Emergency Fund £5750.00 (£100 added today)
Regular Saver £1250.00 (this will ultimately be for the living room refurb when it matures next summer)
Holidays £1571.00
House £320.00
Christmas £414.13 (have started spending out of this)
Spends £240.00 (£200 of this is my secret stash)
The fixed energy deal finishes next month, not looking forward to see how much it will increase by, might have to knock the overpayment on the head for a bit, we'll see.

Get ready for a nasty shock. Martin says that the best thing to do is do nothing - at the moment - because the SVR rate is lower than just about any fix you can get. My supplier went kaput in Sept when my DD was just over £140 which was right on track, the DD with the new supplier just over £210, that is a little bit high but then the SVR will go up in April so I suspect they have made a small allowance for that. I was expecting £200. The whole thing is a bit of a nightmare & when I am going to get my £350 back from my previous supplier, well your guess is as good as mine. I know this is not a nice thing to say but I really wish one of the big 6 would go & then I think the gov would have to do something - a bit like the banks!

They wanted to fix my rate at £300 a month. I’m expecting it to be at least double what I pay now. They’ve got us all over a barrel at the moment, they know we can’t do anything about it. It’s terrible for those who genuinely can’t afford to pay extra 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
