I have been to various medical appointments this week including 2 long MRI scans with headphones and its been 80's music all the way.

The prospect of an MRI scan has always filled me with dread - the feeling of claustrophobia.  Eighties music would be the last straw. Can you take your own choice of music? :o

Not sure as I was totally unprepared. I was in the scanner for just short of an hour - yes not good for claustrophobics. I'm not but did struggle every now and then with the flight instinct (not because if the music lol). You can ask your GP for medication if you need it.

Mr SA has had lots of MRI scans on his brain and has to wear a helmet too which he hates. He’s never been offered music though. I’m claustrophobic I’d hate it.

The operator did say the new machines are much brighter and have a larger tube than older ones but it still felt very closed in to me. I had a mask/frame over my face though and another on my chest so I don't think those help. I tthought music was standard, it wasn't loud as they also talk to you through the headphones but it was quite soothing.

Poor Mr SA he must get fed up with the messing. I've had a bit of invasive stuff recently plus these scans and am pretty much a pin cushion from needles and will be glad when they're finished.

View of the park’s display from the comfort of my bedroom window seat. Our road is like a giant car park at the minute. Fortunately the house across the road doesn’t have a car but if she did she’d be stuffed for getting out thanks to inconsiderate parking.
