Hopefully the pads will make your life easier. I hope Mr SA uses them.I’m with you on preferring a W spoons rather than an empty pub. I’m careful which spoons I use though as there are some dodgy ones in the city centre 😳😂😳I ended up in a nice one with one of my friends last week. The food was good and drinks cheap. On our way home we called in a pub that has just been done up by an ex Corrie actor…..it’s been done up beautifully but there were 5 people (including us) in the whole of the big pub…..including the beer garden and it was £8 for a glass of wine and a cola 😳😳 (I didn’t pay)January spends - £587.586

We paid €14 for a mojito plus €7 for a small bottle of beer in Cafe Mambo (Ibiza) so I’m never shocked by bar prices. It was packed out.

Here's hoping the pads and any other aids you get prove to make life easier. As other have said, it's worth trying the GP although the number he gets that way may be quite limited.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Perhaps come to terms is the wrong expression. Being in the frame of mind to realise you cant do everything (or even anything) you want to do and accepting the help or adaptations you need. Accepting help is, for me, the most difficult thing but perhaps not for everyone. I also think that a slowly worsening condition is different to a sudden onset or a lifelong problem.

Happy Monday
Have been very busy with work this morning, no time for a walk or run, needed to log on first thing and get things done before the Virgin engineer came in case he need to switch the broadband off. Will be going for a long dog walk shortly to make up for it plus do a FitOn workout after work.
Anyway, all fixed TV wise, it was something to do with us being so close to the main Virgin exchange box we had too strong a signal so it had to be turned down, or words to that effect. As I suspected it was something to do with wires 😆
Have updated my finances and had an underspend of £19.07 last week in the grocery budget. There was also £11.07 left in the personal/other spends pot. Getting good at this underspending lark 🤣 New budget period starts today.
Today will finally be another NSD, not had one since last Monday, so NSD 8/12.
An oddment of £5.84 has gone to the Christmas pot, now standing at £537.52/£600.
Credit card balance has been cleared. I was a bit surprised to see it was over £400 but then realised £240 of it was the deposit for the 2 holidays. There are a few pending payments waiting to clear and I'll pay these off next Monday when I do my next budget update, the money is sitting waiting in the bank in any case.
Mr SA's incontinence products arrived this morning, that was extremely quick as I only ordered them yesterday. Thank goodness I didn't pay for express delivery!
Today's cleaning task is the living room and hall. Also going to start tackling the cupboards of doom, ran out of time and motivation yesterday. I thought if I chip away at them a bit at a time they'll be done by the weekend and won't be too daunting.
Having a portion of the butternut squash dhal I made on Saturday for tonight's dinner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Just been catching up with your diary SA - great news that you've booked and managed to get a good deal on your holidays. Bet you can't wait!😀
Sorry to hear about Mr SA's increasing incontinence problems though at least he sounds like he's finally coming to terms with wearing the pads which will make life easier.Re Mr SA finally embracing watching Strictly - do you think he will suggest you both take up Latin American dancing like he did that time when watching Dancing on Ice and thought you should both try ice skating?🤣Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
