SA - Would it be worthwhile contacting your local council about the state of the park. I contacted ours a week ago about the state of lane behind us and they sent someone out the next day to clear it up. I know what you mean, though, I am constantly picking up discarded paper, bottles, containers etc they people just throw into our communal area as they pass by.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4

Happy hump day 😊
Have been out for a run this morning, it was a bit nippy to say the least. As always, glad I did it, I feel much more motivated this morning.
Amber I would definitely start going places on my own if I were you and you shouldn't feel guilty about it especially if he's not bothered about going. I've made it quite clear to Mr SA that when I eventually retire there is no way I'm sitting around the house with him all day with the occasional trip to the park across the road. I'll be doing my own thing in the day, meeting friends, going to the gym, shopping, whatever.
Today will be NSD3 of April. I'm on the final day of the TOMM Boot Camp which is the hallway. Trying a new recipe for my dinner tonight from the Mr T magazine - 'Carl's All Change Casserole', which is basically a veggie sausage casserole. Will be taking the dog for a walk at lunchtime, probably avoid the park across the road until the kids have gone back to school, it was rammed yesterday and if the litter hasn't been cleared it'll just wind me up again. Will also do some yoga after work to balance out the running.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Please all be very careful when clearing up a mess in a public place. A woman I worked with decided she couldn't stand the mess in the company's "yard" & started to clear it up until she almost stabbed herself. Next thing we know the police are asking if they can use our office to watch the next house. Turns out grandson, under the pretense of looking after grandma, was dealing drugs out of the house. Nowhere round here looks like that - it was a real wake up call.

That's true. You can't be too careful. I always use litter pickers and wear my thick gardening gloves in case of glass but these days you never know what's going on.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

Thanks all.
I requested a litter pick a couple of weeks ago and they came out, they don't do a very thorough job in my opinion though. I'm very careful what I pick up, the litter tends to be mainly plastic bottles and crisp bags. It gets worse during school holidays unfortunately. I ended up taking the dog over there at lunchtime after all, it hadn't got any worse thankfully but the bins are overflowing so I'll request another litter pick/bin empty.
The dog's harness has arrived and it's spot on, fits her really well and she didn't complain when I put it on. It fastens on her chest and under her tummy securely so she won't be able to wriggle out of it either.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Well done on your litter picking SA. It's a good idea to request one from the council. I'll be glad when pubs open as I never really realised before what a useful function they serve in keeping drinkers out of parks and off the streets 🤔.
I'm glad the dog's harness fits her 🙂.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Well done on the litter picking my little dog wears a harness she is good so don’t really need it but she’s used to it the problem we have in the winter is dog coats I have altered hers she will wear on but she is absolutely terrified of Velcro squeals like a little pig when you take it off would think we were murdering her no idea why I had to alter them and put buttons on she’s fine6

You are so good at getting your exercise in SA. I’m not bad at getting out for a walk but tend not to bother in the house. I’m looking forward to the swimming pool opening but won’t be going until after I’ve seen the grand children. I’m avoiding anywhere there might be lots of people as we’ve arranged meetings so often and then something has happened to stop it. Knowing my luck I’d be pinged to isolate because somebody in the pool tested positive. I’m hoping to get there around 19th 🤞
Pleased you’re letting Mr SA know what’ll happen when you retire. I reminded Mr M we still need to do our own things as well as doing things together...
