Your bedroom sounds like it will be lovely SA. You've certainly carried out a lot of work to your house over the past months - do you have anything else in mind once the bedroom is finished?I won't comment on Mr SA's remark on doing all the bedroom work yourselves ........😱Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

SSG I have a very long list of things to do to the house. After the bedroom the living room is next on the hit list, although it will probably have to wait until next year. If the fitted wardrobes are too expensive I have a plan B which is the re-plastering, electrics, flooring plus free standing bedroom furniture.I’ve been up since 5am 😱 was wide awake so came downstairs to read and drink coffee. Almost finished my book now, I’m reading Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce, it’s really good, a real page-turner.Need to sort finances later, today will be NSD 2 of March. Might take the dog for a long walk again instead of the park across the road. The dog prefers the park but it gets boring for me day after day, nice to have a change of scenery.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

Finances done. £13.67 underspend this week, not great but better than an overspend. £3.67 gone to Christmas pot, £10 to the house pot. Not sent anything to the emergency fund this week as the £50 I usually send went on the pigeon rescue. I've merged the re-mortgage overpayment and house pots for now pending the cost of the bedroom refurb. Credit card has been cleared.
Scores on the doors w/e 7 March:
Windows £5429.58
Mortgage £15,176.83
Re-mortgage £7346.70
Credit card £0
Emergency Fund £5400.00
Christmas £161.49
House £2620.00
Holidays £1350.00
Regular Saver £2250.00
Windows payments March to June £621.68

We took the dog to a local park about 20 minutes walk away this morning. After a grey start the sun came out and it’s glorious right now. Mr SA and the dog are in the garden now as the dog still isn’t tired despite a decent walk.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

I’ve just had a text from the bedroom bloke £3600. I had in my head if it was less than £4K I’d say go ahead. This is for: plaster board and plaster ceiling, plaster all walls, new double socket, new light pendant, new skirting boards and architraves, Shaker style wardrobes with 4 sliding doors and 2 mirrors, window seat/storage box including materials and labour. I think that’s a good price.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
