Buffythedebtslayer said:Dogs are the best as far as I am concerned. Sadly I can't walk mine any more as one of them is too nervous after being attacked twice. We have a massive garden and even that freaks him out to be honest. I would not have survived without their love and affection.
Its a shame you dont live near us as with time and patience and the help of my little dog we could have worked on her fear and probably helped him to overcome his fear. We get quite a few people asking for our help after they have seen our Battersea dogs on TV. Mind after her latest appearance on P O'Gs What happened next programme we were slated by some people as they said she seemed happier with her fosterer than us. Believe me you cant always believe what you see on TV as they spent 3 hours here for the few minutes shown and we had 3 cameras in the conservatory, a stranger in the house and the furniture had to be moved. which she was not keen on and then most of the footage ended up on the cutting room floor. When her fosterer left she wouldnt leave the house to say goodbye to her so she knows where she wants to be. We have had her for five years and although she is not a normal dog she has made huge strides. We think she may have a degree of either brain damage or learning disabilities but she is happy and loving and who can ask for more.

Looks like I’m the only one on here with a totally different dog experience. We had to visit ours when the mum was pregnant twice before we were told we could have one lol. Visited them 4/5 times and progress photos every week. Really positive experience with the breeder and son loved watching them grow. We all did tbh but not seen son so full of wonder. He loves animals generally.
Got the puppy home and the experience has been testing. We basically have a !!!!!! of the highest order in dog form. 100 does not appreciate what he has and so !!!!!! selfish it’s unreal. Wife says he’s my dog equivalent ha.8 -

Morning, happy Blue Monday 😁
Loving all the dog stories. My dog is very spoilt I'm afraid. When we first got her I was adamant she would sleep downstairs in her crate which she did for the first night. The second night she wouldn't stop crying and I had to get up for work early so brought her upstairs and she slept in my arms. Sold the crate a week later to someone who had gun dogs and needed it for his car and the dog has slept on or in our bed ever since 😆
Today will be NSD 9, doing really well this month. Going to do Joe's PE and a lower body HIIT workout today plus walk the dog. Cleaning is kitchen/dining room. Tonight's dinner is butternut squash and kale curry from freezer stores. Mr SA is having meatballs.
No other plans for today other than work.

Our four first dog was from my sister who bred them - a wire fox terrier. He was a spoilt old lad who was the laziest dog I’ve ever come across 😂😂 He enjoyed his walks but not happy to do any extra. Our 2nd found us - shivering under the ramp by the side of the house, desperately thin and full of sores. She licked my ear and was in ❤️😂😂 We contacted the vets and police, put posters up and scoured the streets with her ( the days before t’internet) Anyway we ended up keeping her....she was the most loving dog and would walk for England. I was heartbroken after both of them passed away and said we’d get another when we retired 🤞January spends - £587.588

Alt how old is your dog? I find a pocket full of treats is helpful if he is food orientated or a ball or anything he enjoys. The key is consistency and reward. You have to all do and xpect the same behaviour for a command. Does he know the basic sit, down, come and stay. If he is really testing it would be worth finding a good behaviourist. If you want to message me I might be able to help more rather than fill up SAs diary.
Sorry to SA for taking over your diary with dog talk.6 -

Morning, happy Tuesday
A very wet morning out there today, on the plus side this might keep a few people from using the park across the road today so the dog might get a decent ball run. Took her twice yesterday but she wouldn't come off her lead, it was too busy, lots of other dog walkers, kids on scooters and people just strolling. It's never like this normally, often we're the only ones there in the week if the timing is right. I don't know where everyone's suddenly come from.
Got a Mr M delivery coming at lunchtime, wonder what will be missing/subbed this week 😆
Today's exercise is upper body HIIT and dog walking. Need to decide what to do for tonight's dinner, will depend on what arrives with the shopping order. I fancy making myself a lasagne. No doubt I'll need to go to Mr T for a top up shop, trying to hold it off until Thursday so I can go first thing when it's not so busy.
