Belated welcome home to you and Mr SA! Your journey home sounded fine apart from verbal passenger! Shame about Mr SA refusing assistance and then making life difficult for himself. I suppose his pride needs to feel every once in a while that everything is ok. Still at least he got a result with the Calvin Klein!

Hope you have a good day today with lots of vegetables!:D

I've had a very busy two days. Yesterday was all about cleaning up and unpacking, plus a lot of time wasted looking for things Mr SA had lost. Today it's Mr SA's birthday, not done anything really, DS and the GKs came. DS bought him some beers and a Nerf gun to shoot balls for the dog. No sign of DD all day, she's in (I think), suspect she's lying low as she's forgot her dad's birthday. No doubt she'll bring him something back when she goes to work tomorrow but still annoyed with her.

Fed up of the constant rain - two days now :(

And of course the weather in Lanzarote is back to normal, hot and sunny, annoying as we are usually away for Mr SA's birthday.

I've promised to take him out for lunch tomorrow unless it's pouring with rain. He said he'd rather go in town but I really don't want to go, it takes such a big chunk out of the day and I certainly don't want to shop.

Really must sort out the finances tomorrow.

DD has deposited 3 bottles of beer in the kitchen for Mr SA, they appeared overnight. No card though. I know his feelings are hurt. She's not one for sending cards but it's still bad.

Mr SA had one of his toilet accidents last night - I was cleaning the bathroom at 11pm :( I don't think he's very good at the minute as he's very sleepy and more confused than usual.

He doesn't want to go out for lunch. I was looking forward to it but he thinks we ate out enough on holiday, which is true I suppose.

Have looked at finances  Thankfully it's payday tomorrow.

Need to be ultra frugal in May, apart from finishing the dining room. Waiting for furniture to be delivered (already paid for) but still need curtain pole, curtains and lamp.

Interview on Tuesday   Someone who is an interviewer is giving me a mock interview tomorrow so I'm prepared. I last had an interview in 1996  Need to read through my application today to get my head round what to say. Fortunately it's a role I'm experienced in so a lot of it will come naturally.

Weather a bit better here today, dry but cold. Hoping to get some washing dry, emptied the laundry basket once, now it's full again. Went on the park with the dog this morning and it was freezing!

Need to do menu plan for the week. Freezer is full to bursting so need to use stuff up. Really need to get back on WW plan and exercise routine. Was too scared to weigh in yesterday so must go next week.

  • Good luck with the mock interview tomorrow and the real interview on Tuesday. You can do it :T.

  • Belated Happy Birthday wishes to Mr SA. So sorry to hear about the toilet accident though, poor you having to clear it up.

Best of luck for both interviews Xx

    Thanks both xx

I've made an attempt on tidying the wasteland that's our garden this afternoon. It's a huge garden and it's too much hard work really but will have to chip away. I keep paying people to sort it out but we always end up back to square one. It's a very fertile garden and everything grows like wildfire. If only Mr SA would take some interest in it rather than build strange structures with wood and/or stones.

My plan is to do one portion of it at a time, some parts will involve paying someone but I'll do what I can step by step.

I've joined the May turtle challenge. Tried this before without much success but need something to focus on.

Mr SA has been asleep in bed since 1pm.

Still got to do meal plan, get my work clothes ready, make soup and decide what I want to eat tonight. Mr SA wants sausage and mash.
