Thanks all. The new office is literally the next building to the one I work in now. So a minute's walk away.

Mr SA has bought me a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate but I'm saving it for the weekend. At least he's happy for me, although he's already mentally spending the extra money. I want to save the extra money - it'll only be another £4K a year before tax and I'll have to pay more pension out. I think it works out at £100-ish a month more in my pocket.

    And breathe .....

Delurks to say a massive well done to you on the new job! So pleased that you got your promotion after so many knock backs.

Awful news about your ex colleague, so young, so sad.

The promotion starts when my manager can release me, it's usually 4 weeks notice or sooner if they can. Good to hear from you again Pauline.

She doesn't want to Beanie but she's pleased for me. Everyone seems to think the office will collapse without me - it won't - they might struggle now and again but they'll get round it.
