My little dog that used to belong to a friend kept nuzzling her breast before she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since shown similar traits if either dh or I are ill. In case you wonder the cancer was the reason she came to me as my friend continued working through her treatment and couldnt give the dog what she needed as she was only just out of puppyhood and was a very active Jack Russel l. By the time my friend was fit enough for her to return home my friend decided that it would be unfair to uproot her again so asked us to keep her. I would say it has been a joy and honour as she has been an amazing dog and has helped to train the foster dogs we have had and helped a friend of ours who was a behaviourist to teach many other dogs. She is now 14 and a bit grumpy but she will still tell a puppy off when they misbehave.

That’s a lovely ending to the story ladyholly. I’ve got a Jack Russell, they are such characters.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

They certainly are. i dread the day when she is no longer with us. We used to have another Jack as well but she died when she was only 4years old from a congenital condition. She was a puppy farm dog which we got from a rescue so we knew there could be problems.

Morning, happy Friday 🥳
Been up since 5.30 (I know on my day off). Just been reading my book and relaxing with a coffee. The dog wanted to go out and I was wide awake so decided to stay up. It’s nice to know I haven’t got to log on today.Got the vets later with the cat, apart from that will just be pottering around today, might find a film to watch this afternoon with my feet up.
It’s just started to pour with rain, hopefully will clear up before it’s time to go to the vets or I’ll have to get a taxi.
Have a fabulous Friday xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
The weather has been weird this morning. It was drizzly and then not 5 minutes after the other half left for work we had a massive squall. I could not see the houses across the road the rain was so heavy and it was so windy!!6
