No I didn’t @beanielou. The only way you can contact them is via a form online wise. The weird thing is I sent 2 emails to my work email, the Mr M email and one to the vets requesting some more flea treatment for my cat. I didn’t receive the emails I sent to work and have had no response from the vet or Mr M.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Morning 😎
Didn't have a brilliant night's sleep last night, it was quite warm, the dog was laying across the bottom of the bed like a boulder and I couldn't get my legs comfortable.
Have bought the Soap & Glory star gift this morning via the invitation from the MSE email last week. Added some bubble bath to get it up to £30 for free delivery. Annoyingly it wouldn't let me pay for it using my Advantage Card points so still have £55 on there. Then it wouldn't let me use my cc so ending up paying via PayPal. What a palaver first thing in the morning! Will have to come out of my Christmas pot.
Mr M on their way, 3 missing items, one of them being cat food, can't tell whether they've subbed it or not. I'm thinking about getting my dog/cat food monthly from somewhere like Pets at Home or Fetch, at least I'll know it won't be out of stock or subbed.
Also thinking about cancelling a few monthly things I pay for I don't use:
1. M&S Premium Club £10 a month. Was worth it when I was going into the office as I used to stop off for a free coffee but not using the vouchers much at the moment.
2. Spotify Premium £9.99 a month - was worth it when I was walking to work as I used to download albums/playlists to listen to offline. Since WFH don't really listen to it that much and there are loads of albums/playlists/podcasts on Amazon Music and the Sounds app.
3. Work monthly lottery draw £10 a month. Hardly ever hear of anyone winning anything on it. I think the top prize is £1000.
4. Sports & Social Club £4.25 a month (work related) - joined this so I could use the gym at work and attend the lunchtime classes. Obviously no longer using. We'll be moving to a new building in 2022 and there is no gym.
5. A local work related sports and social club, think it's £3.95 a month. Joined it because you can get subsidised trip/theatre tickets - have never used it.
So that's almost £40 a month I could save 👍
Have downloaded an audio only app that has coached treadmill runs amongst lots of other classes - Go Classpass. It looks good and was free.
To do today:
1. Work
2. The Joe Wicks workout I didn't get around to yesterday
3. Pilates after work
4. Lunchtime park walk with the dog
5. Clean the bathroom
I'm having a stir fry tonight and Mr SA is having a chicken casserole cooked in the slow cooker. Lunch will be a portion of the Quorn lasagne I made last night, then need to find space in the freezer for the other 4 portions. I've ordered some reusable freezer bags, sturdy ones that I can put my home made food in and should hopefully take up a lot less space in the freezer. I think we've got enough freezer food to last for a month now so meal plans will revolve around what I've got in stock.
Have a terrific Tuesday x

We get our pet food delivered from Oscar. They are a franchise business so I feel I am supporting local self employed people. Delivery is generally within a couple of days of order. They also take back the bags to recycle them. See if you have a local franchise and ask for samples.

Those sound like a really useful set of savings: I make it £458.28 saved every year! That sounds like the basis of an extra trip to the sunI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

There’s a few savings to be made if you cancel the things you no longer need. 👏👏
Well done getting the Christmas present you needed and getting Mr SA to agree to getting rid of some of his things.January spends - £587.588 -
I used to use Oscar but the franchisee changed and the new one was useless, missed delivery, unavailable etc so I use Zooplus. They have a discount sheme which gets me a small discount and they have reward point on what you spend so I usually get either tennis ball or ttreats with the points.

Hi SA, I use zooplus for my cat food - as ladyholly said, they have loyalty points that you can use for wee extras and what they call a savings plan, which is 3% off all orders for a year for £2.49 or 3 years for £4.99 I think. I like them and have been using them for years, their prices are good and the cats enjoy trying some foreign cat food every so often. 😂
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.5 -
Morning, happy hump day 😎
I looked at Oscar but my dog likes a mixture of dry and wet food and their wet food is in too large trays, she's prefers small pouches. I've tried Tails which she loved at first then went off, also Butternut Box but you have to put the food in the freezer and it's really dry as well, she didn't like that one at all. I think I've used Zooplus in the past so will take a look. I've picked up a couple of boxes this morning from Mr T so this will last until next week.
I've had a walk down to the big Mr T this morning at 6.30. It was pitch black but I used to walk to work in the dark so decided to go anyway. It's certainly a good time to go in there it was almost empty. Clocked up almost 8,000 steps so a good walk for me.
The freezer bags arrived yesterday and OMG they are HUGE! Looks like I've ordered a box of 76 catering type bags, they're really strong and stand up but far too big for my little portions. However, I've bought them so will use them and have transferred all my homemade stuff into them and labelled them up. Not really freed up that much room in the freezer though. I could've done with ones a quarter of the size, that's the trouble with ordering things online.
Started watching The Crown last night, from episode 1 and really enjoyed it. I didn't fall asleep which is a good sign.
To do today:
1. Work
2. Spanish
3. Start cancelling all the things I mentioned yesterday.
4. Phone the vets - the cat is overdue her vaccinations.
5. Clean/tidy the spare room which doubles up as the gym.
6. Joe Wicks workout and a short run after work.
7. Take the dog on the park at lunchtime.
Have a wonderful Wednesday x
