These young people and students doing what the hell they like during local and national lock downs will be the first to complain when they are not allowed home to their families at Christmas.
It is incredibly frustrating!9 -
@ladyholly I heard about that on the news 😱 In my area several students were fined for having parties of over 30 people. Instead of fining them they should kick them out of uni and ban them from ever reapplying to go again. They are stupid and don’t realise the consequences of what they’re doing as they think it doesn’t affect them 😩
Anyway, must post some positives from today, determined to find something every day, even if I have to scrape the bottom of the barrel:
1. Managed to get a line of washing dry
2. Enjoyed Joe Wicks workout
3. Had a lovely long soak in the bath with candles and a glass of bubbly
4. Finances done, cc paid off and another £17.80 in the iPad pot
Made some soup out of leftover swede and carrots for work lunches next week, added a tin of butter beans, bit of rosemary, garlic and paprika, tastes very nice indeed 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
I must start adding some daily positives to my diary. Its a great idea 🙂7

Well done on the £ weight loss, I wish I could be so focused,I only need to lose a stone but can't get myself motivated,I hope people are going to be sensible when they are shopping but I doubt it,luckily we have just had an online shop so we are pretty much stocked up food wise, I didn't order any cleaning stuff because I normally buy that in Wilkos so I'm going to get that on TuesdayOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1208

@Onebrokelady just catching up on the eyebrows thing, I have a similar problem in that I can't see enough to deal with them. Have heard good things about a Browzer for home tidying. If you put it into Amzn search box it will come up.

SA, the risotto sounds very tasty. MR SA doesn't know what he's missing!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sun_Addict said:They are stupid and don’t realise the consequences of what they’re doing as they think it doesn’t affect them 😩The real problem is that they have been told so many times that it won't affect them, that even if they get it it will be as nothing, so they think it doesn't matter. Many of us thought as teens & 20s that we were invincible. When you have people coming on the internet telling them it isn't going to affect them, then they will believe it. I worry that the only way that behaviour will change is when one of their loved ones gets it & they are really sick.I think we are all going to pay for the current "just pass the exam" mentallity, as it has stopped kids (& now their parents) learning how to think.

I think another problem is that there is so much misleading information on social media the youngsters are believing it so many think the virus doesnt exist, this is the government (or some world government) taking control to limit our freedom, vaccinations have micochips in them tso we can be tracked etc etc . The last one was actually posted by an aquaintence who swears it is true and got very huffy when my dh (who was an electronics engineer) told her that micochips powerful enough to track at a distance couldnt be made. Look at the size of the chip dogs have and how close the scanner has to get for it to register. As badmemory says the only way they will learn is when they manage to infect someone they love and care about.9
