I remember when I went to Nice with a couple of friends, hotel was lovely, local buses where literally every five minutes and it was easy to get everywhere. To and from the airport was I think 7 quid?
Get home, on last train, no tube, had to get 3 night buses and cab, cost over a 100 pounds!! Granted there are tubes now
When I stayed in Canterbury I literally couldn't go anywhere but Canterbury as the buses mostly seemed to stop at random times. Still Canterbury was lovelyBut I can't take Mum anywhere, too much walking and waiting.

Holidays to the islands still going ahead up to now but will have to quarantine. Advice for mainland is don’t go, holidays are being cancelled. I’ve still got just over 3 weeks before I go so who knows what will happen? Apparently Tui have reinstated flights to islands from tomorrow onwards but cancelled mainland until 9 August. Negotiations happening today to put an air corridor in place with just the islands.Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 I hate all this uncertainty though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I thought of you too. You booked your holiday last year like you said way before we’d even heard of Corona Virus. I have to admit I was wary of booking anything at the moment but a different story if you’ve already booked. Hope it works out for you....January spends - £587.586

I'm another whose thoughts went straight to you, SA. I hope it blows over and you can have your holiday. We were considering Amsterdam or Bruges but we're thinking again because anywhere could be next - or never affected again, we just can't tell. However I live in the sort of place people go on UK holidays (less accessible but gorgeous!) and I've had a relatively easy ride over the spring and summer, whereas you really do deserve a break and it won't be a break if you can't get access. So here's hoping. xI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It’s made it to the radio news about an air bridge for the islands so something is being done.Have spent the afternoon shampooing the carpets and steam mopping the hard floors, trying to stop myself from constantly checking the news on my phone. The weather here has been hot and sunny one minute and pouring with rain the next. Can’t even sit in the garden with my book today.
Missed the Insanity class this morning so did today’s WW app activity of the day which was 30 minutes HIIT. Will be a miracle if I hit my steps target today though. I wanted to go for a long walk but it keeps raining.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Same here re weather, I managed a dog walk and that was it. my mechanic will be quarantining too as apparently will Grant "I am not booking a holiday" Schapps. totally not how you spell his name but hey ho. I hope there is a bridge, I mean that makes sense with them being Islands.. Fingers crossed XX

Ended up walking on my treadmill to hit 10k steps. Won’t hit the 13k average this week though.Listened to a download on the BBC sounds app while I was in the bath, Radio 2 Chill and it was fabulous, so relaxing. I love chill out music. Put the dog in the bath after me, it always livens her up, she loves to paddle in the water.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
