Bought a book from Amazon called the 5 minute garden, it arrived tonight and it’s brilliant. Claims if you spend just 5 minutes a day on your garden it will be ship shape. Tells you what to do when and with a sense of humour too, ie dead heading plants with a glass of wine in your hand 🤣 Also ended up getting Mr SA yet another bum bag after he clocked my running belt I use to store my phone/house keys when I go running. Apparently it’s just what he’s been looking for. Explained to him it was a running belt not a bag but he insisted. Anyway he loves it and it will shut him up for a few days maybe 🙄 Wait until he finds out he can’t fit much into it 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10

Pleased Mr SA has found ‘just what he is looking for’ with the running belt. You have to admire him - always on the look out for the next thing.I suppose you can’t have everything he’s had done to him medically without some repercussions. What a predicament to be in when the meds to help, one thing set off another.Your gardening book sounds really good. I might look into that myself.January spends - £587.589

Mr M delivery today, only one sub and two items missing. The delivery drivers are from Birmingham and they are so chatty, spent a while just chatting with the driver, good to talk to someone different. I do find Birmingham folks extremely friendly, they are so down to earth. I miss going there 😩Been busy most of the day with work so not done a lot exercise wise today. Probably the last hot sunny day for a while so enjoyed sitting in the sun after work. Lovely to see loads of chaffinches in the tree outside the patio doors. The blackbirds kept trying to see them off but they weren’t having it 🤣Unbelievable that the birds don’t seem to care we have a cat, although she’s too slow to catch them now at 10, maybe they can sense that.
Spoke to DS and DGD has been playing outside all day so he’s not particularly worried about the test results on Thursday. Fingers crossed 🤞
Watched the last episode of White Lines on Netflix tonight, been good 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
Afternoon folks, bit of a miserable day here today weather-wise.
Didn't go for my run this morning as it was raining, but will do it on the treadmill later. I only plan to run outdoors if the weather is good. Did Joe's PE this morning, first time in a while as I've either already been out for a run or busy with work. The dog is playing up a bit today as she likes to be out in the garden with Mr SA all day. Rain has stopped play.
Small spend of £2.50 today for the monthly wheelie bin washing. That will be it, no plans to spend anything else. Not been to the local shops since last Saturday. Trying really hard to come under budget this week, have gone back to splitting the budget into 4 weekly mini budgets as it works better for me this way. Been a bit slack during lockdown.
Made some tomato, carrot and lentil soup for my lunch using up some not so great looking carrots. Made Mr SA some toasted sandwiches using up the 4 slices of bread that he's abandoned in favour of starting on a new loaf - really annoying how he does this, he's the same with margarine and milk.

My OH does that with the bread, I freeze it and when I’ve enough make bread and butter pudding wit it.Sealed pot challenge 822

Fingers crossed for the results tomorrow- a good sign though if she has been playing ok.
What a change in the weather though....I’m not surprised the dog isn’t a happy woofster because he couldn’t get out.Any news when Mr SA scooter might be repaired now things are easing a bit?Soup sounded good. I need to get back on track - I’m fluctuating between being really good and eating everything in sight plus a bit more 🙄🍕🍦🧁🍹 Next week when I’m back in work I’ll get a routine going again and it’ll be more 🥗🍓🍇🍎🥝. I’ve missed the incentive of group plus dh is home and it too easy to get something for him and have it myself too.😊January spends - £587.587 -
Milann no sign of scooter being repaired it’s been 3 months now 😩 He keeps ringing the shop but no reply. I think non essential shops are due to open mid June?
Did day 2 week 9 of C25K on my treadmill, didn’t enjoy as much as doing outside but needs must. Was lovely to jump into the bath straight afterwards in a muscle relief bubble bath though 👍

In other news, as my DGD is 6 next month, I quite like the idea of getting her the poem from the end of the book Now We Are Six by AA Milne framed. Can I find it anywhere - no 😩 Would be grateful if anyone knows of somewhere that does this sort of thing to let me know. Thank you xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
