Anyway ... made the right decision re going to see DS as the snow was worse his way and the trains stop running at the first flake. We'll try again next Saturday. He's still got my Mother's Day prezzie and I've got his housewarming one.

Did the finances with coffee not wine Will report on those tomorrow as figures are on a notepad in another room and I have my feet up under a throw at the moment with no plans to move until bedtime

Mr SA is a bit rantery tonight, coming out with random things and already planning what he wants to eat on holiday.

Happy snowy Sunday!

I think the snow is worse here than it was when we had the original beast from the east. We had another load during the night. Took the dog on the park this morning and it was up to her tummy, although she's only little (small Jack Russell). Mr SA insisted on following us with his walking poles, fell over and headed straight back home!

Today will be another NSD making it 4/12 - didn't do very well last week, I was picking bits up nearly every day, will try harder next week. The same with AFD, I managed to stretch out a bottle of wine over the week so really need to stack up some AFDs this coming week.

I overspent on the grocery budget last week which means I've got to be more careful over the next 3. Got a Mr M £5 and More voucher off next week's shop which will help. Going to go back to being strict with grocery spends and seeing if I can go another week without buying whatever. Not helped by the fact that £20 delivery pass payment went out but as this is anytime for 6 months it's a bargain. On the plus side, stocked up on quite a few things so shouldn't need to buy so much anyway. Can't believe how it mounts up, was quite shocked when I totted it up!

Going to make the butternut squash, chickpea and lime soup again for next week's lunches as it was so gorgeous. Meal plan just about done for next week and have listed everything in the freezer. Will be on the case of using stuff up again next week.

One more full week to do then it's Easter and a long weekend :j

Forgot to add, DD went out last night for the first time in forever. Heard her stumbling through the door in the early hours. The dog wanted to go out shortly afterwards, good job she did as DD hadn't locked the front door :eek:

Not looking forward to trudging to work through the snow tomorrow. Oh how I wish I'd taken my Surface Pro home on Friday instead of putting it in my locker - I could've worked at home. Oh well!

Snow has thawed slightly but looks really slippy.

Mr SA fell at the top of the stairs yet again. He's been watching a football match for what seems like hours. Dreading the World Cup, just hope the weather is good then I can sit outside with a book.

Emptied my purse, not a lot left this week but new MSP total is £62.26.
