Have you had advice from a falls nurse? One came to advise Mum and was really helpful. That's if your DH would cooperate.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Not sure the falls clinic/nurse would help.
Maybe worth a shot.

It's a wonder Mr S hasn't done some real damage to himself the amount of times he falls - does he get himself up or do you have to lift him?
We had quite a bit of snow but it's melted fairly quickly on the roads. There's still a bit in the garden but I've not ventured any further.January spends - £587.580 -
Oh dear about Mr SA and his falls! Real worry for you especially as he has to manoeuvre the stairs.
Bright spot though that DS has had a night out. Perhaps she has met someone nice! Should have locked that door though!
Hope your walk to work isn't too onerous tomorrow SA.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I had to catch the bus to work as the pavements were so slippy, walked back though as the snow had cleared.
Mr SA has already been assesses by the Falls Team, there's nothing much they can do. He gets himself up (eventually), I help by getting him a cushion or stool but I can't lift him as he's a foot taller and 10 stone heavier than me.
Current item on his pester list is hair clippers, in fact he's hassling me to death about them. Yesterday it was a petrol lawnmower (again).
Small top up shop in Lidl on the way home. AFD 3/12. Gym at lunchtime.
And that's Monday doneI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Oh crumbs - I thought the lawnmower had gone quiet! You must feel these things come completely out of the blue: my image is of you fielding them as they come thick and fast like Space Invaders.
At least you have been able to have an assessment, but what a shame they didn't have anything to offer to help prevent the falls. I suppose the main thing is that he can get up. It's when people can't get up unaided that it's most concerning. So glad you don't try to do it for him!
AFD + gym + walking back from work all in this cold weather! Well doneI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
