    Friday at last :)

Feel like I've done nothing but spend on groceries this week and need to come up with a better plan as the current one isn't working. It doesn't help that a large chunk of it goes on Mr SA's beer. I keep on at him to cut down but am wasting my breath. He went 9 months without beer when he was ill and is still making up for lost time!

We had no hot water tonight and the boiler appeared lifeless. Although I asked him not to, Mr SA rang the plumber and he talked me through what to do. Embarrassingly somehow the switch to the boiler had been turned off, no idea how. Anyway at least all's well that ends well.

Mr SA came to meet me on the way home from work with the dog on his scooter. He scooted across a side road without looking and a car narrowly missed him. The driver was shaking her head. I do worry about his lack of road sense.

In other news I got a £20 voucher for helping with a presentation at work :) Plus another job on promotion has come up so that's two to apply for. For the second job you have to take tests, one of which is numeric reasoning. I took a dummy test for the numeric one and I didn't find it easy to be honest. Maths isn't my strong point but will keep practising the dummy tests.

Going to see DS tomorrow in his new house, have got the train tickets. I need to pop to WW first to weigh in and stock up on biscuits though.

I stand need to be losing an hour this weekend when the clocks go forward, not happy about it, it's going to be a short weekend.

Wow you've had a busy week again SA what with pilates and your walk uphill!

Nice to read that Mr SA has managed to pick something actually useful from his ongoing "Wants" list, i.e. hair clippers! And it sounds as if it will be a MSE buy as well!

Yes - keep practising the dummy tests - they do work!

Went to see DS in his new house, it's really nice, shame they're only renting, it's perfect for them. Ended up getting a taxi to and from the station as Mr SA was worried about walking to the bus stop. On the plus side this saved a lot of time and money that would've been spent on lunch out.

Finally got my Mother's Day present from DS, a bottle of wine, thankfully a decent red this time, he keeps buying me white, which I'm not that keen on.

Got back home at a reasonable time , so didn't feel I'd lost a day, got some cleaning up done and took the dog on the park.

Went to the early meeting at WW and have lost another pound which takes me a pound under goal :)

The plan is to spend an hour a day practising the dummy tests then do the real ones at home during the Easter break when I can get a quiet hour - probably first thing before Mr SA gets up.

Hope everyone has had a good Saturday.
