At least Mr SA feels guilty about drinking so much.....it might slow him down a little. But guessing he’ll forget about it all soon and be back to normal.

Morning all
Took the dog on the park for a run but it seemed like the phrase 'every man and his dog' was made for this morning because it was quite busy. She's not keen on other dogs so all she wanted to do was come back home. Mr SA is going to take her out again a bit later on when it might be quieter.
One good thing is I'm sleeping well and not waking up until 6.40 - weird how I always wake up at 20 to the hour. To be honest it makes the mornings a bit of a rush because I had all these plans of what I was going to do before I logged on for work and I still haven't managed to fit in my Wake up Yoga. I'm not setting an alarm though. It's all go 🤣
Payday today so will be sorting finances, doesn't seem as exciting when you can't go anywhere.
After finding the bag of rice at the back of my cupboard on Sunday, it's inspired me to stand on a stool again and see what other delights are in there. I quite fancy making some muffins. DD has eaten all the bananas so banana cake is off. If one good thing comes out of this I may eventually get rid of some things that have been hanging around for ages. I might even see the bottom of my freezer drawers.
Have a good day folks xx

Well the Mr M order arrived, minus a couple of items and a few items substituted but ok. It will keep us going for at least another week, maybe have to pick up a few fresh bits locally.
Made some white chocolate chip muffins using up half a bag of chocolate chips I found at the back of the magic cupboard. Also made some soup with some carrots, swede and parsnip past their best. Found a bag of seeds (edible ones) no idea what I had in mind for these, might give them to the birds.
In alarming news, there was a massive rat on my patio this morning 😮 I think it was after the bird table so got Mr SA to move it further from the house. The dog and cat have been taking it in turns to have a really good sniff at where it got under the fence. It disappeared next door so it's now their rat. This is the downside at having nothing at the back of our house other than very steep banks, we get all sorts of wildlife passing through.

I'm glad your Mr M ordered arrived with most of what you wanted 🙂.
Eek to the massive rat 😱. Will the dog chase it? I read a story today about a terrier that chased a rat up a drainpipe and got stuck for 24 hours before it was rescued 🤣.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

@HairyHandofDartmoor - my dog is a Jack Russell and will just shake it and kill it, that's their job, a lot of farms keep them for this purpose. She's done it in the past, it won't survive long. The cat will probably have a go too, although it's not that much smaller than her.
That's work done for another day. Been really busy today and only going to get busier.
I'm having a portion of the veggie lasagne from the freezer that I made last week with some salad and Mr SA is having a beef hot pot made in the slow cooker - even though I don't eat meat it smells very nice.

Yuk to the rat - we had one on our bird table a few years ago and saw it a couple of time - I kept telling myself it WAS the same one - not family or a friend. We got the council out to bait the area but never found a deceased one - we’ve never seen it since but next door have a gorgeous looking Persian style cat which is a thug and a half - takes all kinds of live ‘presents’ in to my neighbour.Good news on the Morrison’s shop 👍January spends - £587.589

When we first moved in our house in 1992 it had been empty for 18 months and the people who lived there before kept goats. There were several sheds with straw in them and loads of rats had nested in them. I saw a rat swim across the pond and I’m not joking it was the size of a small cat 😱 Obviously once we moved in they started to scarper. We don’t see many nowadays thankfully just the occasional one and the dog dispatches them fairly swiftly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Might you reintroduce the goats, if you could guarantee no rats? They're delightfully eccentric; could even be a project for Mr SA?7
