DD caught me dancing to Dance yourself Dizzy in the kitchen just now. I was listening to Alan Carr and Melanie Sykes on Radio 2 while I was cooking. I think she thought I'd lost the plot :rotfl: I can still dance with a broken leg
One of the questions Alan and Mel brought up was who was your first pin up. Mine was David Cassidy, my bedroom wall was full of posters of him and I was adamant I was going to marry him despite me being about 12 and him being in 20s :rotfl: So I'm asking who was your first pin up?
Mine was David Cassidy too. I loved The Partridge family on TV too. My bestie bought me a re release CD of Cherish for my 40th almost 20 years ago now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Looks like it Beanie
On the radio show yesterday it was obvious what age bracket the listeners were in as the replies were mainly David/Donny/Bay City Rollers/David Essex
I do regret not ever going to see David Cassidy in concert. Which has prompted me to think about who I would like to see in concert this year if possible: Rod Stewart and Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra when they do the classic dance anthems tour. There are a few others I'd like to see but Rod and Pete are top of my list. Rod's not getting any younger, don't want him retiring before I get to see him live
Went to local shops, Mr SA decided to come with me. We went in the new coffee shop, of course he wanted a cake, they looked quite small so we had one each. Got a bit of a shock when I asked for the bill £11.50 for two coffees and two fairly small cakes. I know the coffees are £2.25 each which means the cakes must've been £3.50 each  Will definitely go there again for coffee but nothing else. You can tell I don't buy cakes very often.
I managed to walk a lot faster this time which I'm pleased about. My leg aches but that's only to be expected. Getting there slowly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Arriving late (as usual) for the poster-boy debate and showing my age! I'm a bit older than those that have posted so my first pin-up was Peter Tork of The Monkees! I had him plastered all over my bedroom walls! Don't ask me why - it was puppy love (a nod to the Donny fans!:D!) Luckily within the next two years I had fallen in love with Jim Morrison of The Doors - the most beautiful man in the world then in my eyes - who was much better looking!:D
My DSis is a bit younger than me so she was a Donny Osmond fanatic. I can remember her having a near apoplectic fit with rage when the ex-Mr SSG wound her up by telling her that Donny had pyorrhea of the teeth and wore built-up boots!:rotfl:
Re. the cakes - that would be the lower end price for a cake in the one of the independent cafes where I live SA! Mind you some of them are huge and very lush!:D
Well done on your walking!:)Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I didn’t speak to my mum for days ......David Cassidy did a concert at a football ground near me.....when pop concerts in stadium were a new thing. My mum was very old fashioned and foresaw trouble..... I was in St John Ambulance cadets and had the chance of being on duty - sitting ringside. She wouldn’t let me go - I cried for days as all my friends went and had a fantastic view. I don’t think I ever quite got over it......still gutted I missed him.January spends - £587.580

Marc Bolan was mine and I was devastated when he died,I also got into the Bay City Rollers craze and remember having the wide leg trousers with tartan down the side of the legs and round the hem, I also had a white cheese cloth shirt that that short sleeves with tartan cuffs and tartan edging,it tied up around the middle and exposed my tummy:eek::rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8940

Donny Osmond for me!
I'm really sorry you've got to wear a walking boot for six weeks SA. I feel your pain at not being able to be as active as you like to be. I wonder why the bone hasn't healed by now. I suppose as we get older we don't mend as quickly with our old bones! Anyway as least you can have a bath and take it off so your skin can get some air.
I do understand how frustrating it is for you not to be as active as you usually are but please don't overdo the walking as I'd hate your recovery to be delayed. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
