If it's any consolation SA it's raining here and chilly to. Hope the sun comes out for you . Is there nowhere to hire a mobility scooter for Mr SA ?

    Have a good day .

Plenty of scooters to hire but there's nowhere to keep it or charge it up at the bunglows, step access only. Mr SA is happy to sit watching TV, I might have a walk round the shops on my own.

    Morning folks happy Friday :)

The weather was beautiful yesterday, hottest day so far, the sun came out and burned off the clouds about 30 minutes after I posted :) It looks lovely out there already today.

Mr SA has broken his glasses :( Luckily he doesn't pay for them so I can get them replaced free when we get back home.

I love where we're staying it has all the little touches that make things easier, some are daft things like hand wash, washing up liquid, dishcloth and sponge. It's abslotely spotless and cleaned with fresh towels every day. The bed is queen size and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in - ever. Yesterday there was only me and two others round the pool and the pool water is so warm it's like a bath. Shame about the access for Mr SA as we would definitely stay here again, although we're managing ok.

    Have a fab Friday

    Morning, happy Saturday :)

Been awake ages so got up early, still dark at the moment here.

Mr SA has now started bleeding from his b$m so he's worried. I think it's probably piles. He still feels poorly and I don't think he's really enjoying this holiday like he should be. I've spent a lot of time on my own either walking on the front, round the shops or by the pool. He prefers to sit inside watching TV. We've ended up in the bar across the road twice a day every day now. The food is really good though, Mr SA loves the gigantic fish and chips and there's plenty of healthy and veggie options for me.

I'll be glad when Mr SA's seen the consultant. He's convinced the Lymphoma's back and he's worrying himself silly. Understandable though.

Reception have given us a key to the luggage room to store the wheelchair which means only one set of steps to lug it up now. Because Mr SA is so heavy I can't push him up any incline and there's a slight one now and again on the front. So he has to get out and walk occasionally. His walking has got worse, he used to be able to walk much further when he first came out of hospital. I think it's a lot to do with not using his legs as much as he should, the scooter is partly to blame I think.

Can't believe we've only got three days holiday left, it's going too fast.

Have a good day folks :)

I'm sorry to hear Mr SA is feeling so poorly SA and do hope he begins to improve and enjoy his holiday more. It's a difficult one for him what with waiting to see the consultant so it must bel preying on his mind. :(

That's a shame about his decreased walking ability. Perhaps when he's home he could try walking more - building up in increments per day? Difficult one though as his default must be to select his scooter.

I'm so glad though that you're enjoying your location and relaxing in the sun. Hope it's another hot one for you today!:)

The weather has been fantastic today, not a cloud in the sky. We are now back at the bungalow as Mr SA is tired and wants to watch TV :(

    Morning all :)

It's Mr SA's birthday today he's 54. This is the 5th birthday running he's spent in Lanzarote. Many of you will remember his neuro ward birthday 6 years ago and the Lanzarote birthday holiday I had to cancel which is why today is extra special.

Looking good out there already today :)

I've been sampling the gin of the day at the bar across the road every day since we arrived, already looking forward to today's, they've all been good so far :)

    Have a great Sunday
