I'm going to keep a tally of how much Mr SA gets spent on him this month - beer plus all the other things. At the end of the month. Just so he knows he's not as hard done by as he thinks. The beer alone must be at least £100 a month. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not in the region of £200 altogether on an average month. Then on top of that his scooter is £98 a month but that's taken direct from his PIP so I won't count that. I hope this doesn't sound petty - I just want him to realise.

Not at all petty. You are the one who has the worry to find all the money to pay bills, holidays etc. That job is made harder when he is pestering for things which are not essential. £100 - £200 a month on beer is horrendous. Not good for his health either.

I can appreciate his life is different now but from all accounts his spending habits were just as bad before the tumour. I am not sure even if he had the figures though that would stop him feeling hard done by. That may be the result of too much time sitting at home doing nothing except watching shopping channel.

Putting it in black and white reinforces the things you are telling him though in that he is getting lots of personal money to spend just on himself.

That's January done, happy February :)

No snow here thankfully. Very cold though.

Had a nice day pottering in town plus lunch with my friend :)

Got a real bargain in M&S - Per Una jeans for £3.89 :j

Appalled at the sheer greed in Boots today at the 70% off sale. People grabbing bags and bags of stuff - absolutely disgusting. Obvious it was for selling on. I wanted to buy something not in the sale, walked out and bought it from Superdrug.

Will update properly Sunday on finances but have paid £500 off debt, now down to £1070 :)

Forgot to add, ES I don't spend £100-200 on beer for Mr SA, that's everything when it's all added up, although his beer alone must be near £100. I know he drinks too much, although ihe's never drunk or worse for wear. It doesn't matter how much I nag him he won't cut down. He was the same when he used to smoke, until his dad died of lung cancer definitely caused by smoking, then he gave it up. If he wants to damage his health it's up to him. If he ever moans about me buying anything for myself I just remind him.
