The ambulance service rang at 5.30 to say he’d been prioritised but would still be waiting another hour or so. The minute I ended the call I heard a big scuffle and Mr SA emerged out of the bathroom, he’d finally managed to get himself up. I cancelled the ambulance then tried to get some sleep although Mr SA decided to start watching TV!

I’ve had a couple of hours sleep and I’m shattered. No doubt Mr SA will be in bed until lunchtime. Thank goodness it’s Sunday and I don’t have work.

I’m pretty certain we’ve still got the bath board I had when my leg was in plaster so I’m going to look for it today. It could be useful in helping Mr SA get out of the bath next time he does this as he never learns his lesson so no doubt there’ll be a next time.

Plan for today is to put up the Christmas decorations, find the bath board and give the house a good clean. I was thinking about going to see the local high street Christmas lights switch on but not sure I feel like going anywhere. The dog will need a couple of walks at some stage.

On the MSE front I’ve got a £2 off voucher from L*dl and a voucher for a free loaf of bread from M&S. It could well be a NSD too.

Oh.noooooooo, @Sun_Addict, what an awful night for you both. I do hope the ambulance turned up. A desperately under pressure service, & so utterly important for situations just such as yours, when moving Mr SA yourself would probably be impossible, as well as not recommended after a fall.
Hope you'll be able to get a little bit of rest later & are not still waiting or sitting in A&E. Hope Mr SA not badly injured also, of course.

Thank you @foxgloves we crossed posts.

Forgot to say I finally ordered Mr SA a bomber jacket yesterday from an eBay shop. It’s for Christmas he’s aware of this.

Also my umbrella was delivered in the middle of the night. I had a pan email to say package handed to resident, it most definitely wasn’t. There it was soaking wet on the doorstep. Anyway the umbrella appears to be just what I need. Feels very sturdy and well made. I shall report back once it’s been tested in heavy rain and wind.

Well I'm glad he was sufficiently ok to get himself shifted, @Sun_Addict. What a night!
    Take care today.

Is that a case of he can if he wants/needs to or thankfully he finally managed it?
