I hope Mr SA feels better soon. I don't think he's had Covid, has he?

Morning, happy Sunday.
Mr SA is still soundly asleep so don’t know if he feels better today. We haven’t had Covid as far as we know although suspect the very nasty chesty illness we both had late December 2019 was probably us getting it before it became fashionable. It should be NSD7 of September today. Probably only taking the dog on the park across the road.I activated the 3 months free Disney channel subscription yesterday so have made a note to cancel it before 24 December. Although there are a few films on there I want to watch, mainly Hocus Pocus, I certainly wouldn’t pay £7.99 a month for it. Great if you’ve got young children though. My free 3 day trial of Super Duolingo has now ended so did a flurry of lessons first thing just before it expired.Today’s tasks are:
Meal plan for next week mainly based on what’s in the freezer as I have no more room for anything else in there, although I have my eye on a couple of new recipes.
Self care Sunday - face pack, manicure, foot mask, long soak in the bath, read my book, yoga session.Housework- cleaning and ironing.Make a list of what I need from the international supermarket as I plan to go there one day next week.
Finalise Mr M online shop, they’ve sent me a £5 off voucher so must remember to add it.
Make a list of what’s needed to finish off the living room and hall.Tonight’s dinner is roast salmon and roast veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Well Mr SA can’t have Covid as he’s a lot better today.
I got the majority of things on my list done. Also did some gardening. I have lots of peppers and aubergines almost ready to pick. The peppers are turning red 🥳 I’ve given up with the courgettes and the plant is in the garden waste bin.Made loads of roast veg, some for tonight and the rest has gone to make roast veg, couscous and feta for work lunches tomorrow and Tuesday.Meal plan for next week:
Monday - Butternut squash dhal and cauliflower rice from freezer stocks
Tuesday - Veg hotpot from BBC Good Food October magazine- new recipe
Wednesday- Veggie paella from freezer stocks
Thursday - Chilli tuna pasta bake - new recipe from Mr M app, not had tuna pasta bake for ages
Friday - lightly dusted yellowfin sole and steamed veg
Saturday - pizza night
Sunday - nut roast - an old favourite from a Thrifty Leslie recipe that will use up some bread (blitz into crumbs and freeze)
That’s me sorted for the week food wise. Mr SA is easy/boring to meal plan for as he never tries anything new, got everything in stock for him so no need to buy anything extra.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I'm with you on the courgettes. I can't seem to get them anywhere this week. It wouldn't normally be a problem but it is DS's birthday next Sunday. This cannot go by without courgettes in tomato as part of his birthday tea. Looked in tesco morrison & aldi. He doesn't ask for much at all but I really do not want to let him down on this. He still has not let me know what he wants for his birthday so we are entering stress city here.

That’s Monday done. I was in the office today and actually did a full day there shock horror 😆
Popped into Lidl on the way home and redeemed the free bakery item voucher. Also got batteries and bread rolls so not a NSD.
Caught the younger cat running under the dining room table with the bag of Mr SA’s defrosting meatballs in her mouth! She looked so proud of herself! Thankfully rescued them before she ripped open the bag.Glad I made time to hang the washing out this morning even though it had been raining as the sun came out later and it dried. It’s the little things 😆Not a lot else to report. Going to clear up the dinner pots then watch TV for an hour before bed. It’s all rock and roll here.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Anything defrosting or cooling down has to get locked in the microwave here or it’s a free for all 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Morning, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Mr SA and the dog still snoring in bed!
Mr M shop delivered and put away. Just one sub, own brand mushy peas for branded ones but discounted so can't moan.
Have reconciled finances, credit card balance has been paid and an oddment sent to the Christmas pot. Just waiting for payday on Friday now to do some more number crunching.
Octopus have reduced my direct debit but I'm going to change it back to what it was to build up a buffer. Resisting putting the heating on just yet even though the temperature has dropped a fair bit. Not sure how much longer I'll hold out for though as Mr SA is complaining.
Exercise today will be 15,000 steps target, then live WW bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands later.
BG coming to service the boiler later around lunchtime, hopefully not when I'm doing bums & tums!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
