Very glad your Mr SA free time worked out without too much subterfuge (which is always difficult to keep up)

    Nice successful shopping too :)

This from me too, I feel awful if I have to lie to mum, she is so sensitive about things - which I get but some time out is so rare.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

So the eBay seller has offered me £6 refund for the chair as it will cost too much to return 😡 He has suggested I get it fixed with the £6 😡 It was originally £24.95 but I had an eBay £5 off voucher so paid £19.95. I don’t think it’s fixable to be honest. You can see the metal has completely snapped.

Did you pay via PayPal, you could put in a dispute with them. If not report to EBay, goods have got to be fit for purpose this clearly wasn’t. Buyer trying to pull a fast one.

@Sun_Addict - I would concur that your chair isn't fixable. Mr F had a similar one when we used to go camping regularly. It broke in the same place & wasn't the kind of metal which could be welded. My feeling is that if it wasn't up to the job of carrying the weight-load advertised, then the seller should refund your cost. Unless Mr SA sort of fell into it when he sat down, as I guess that would add additional pressure on the chair's joints.

I’ve requested a return via eBay and they’ve sent me a QR code for Royal Mail. However I don’t know if I now have to pay for the postage as it doesn’t say?

Your skirt sounds lovely. Pleased you had a good day 👍
The chair doesn’t look for for purpose. 😡 if they advertise to take a certain weight they should.

My son sells quite a bit on eBay and he says the seller pays for the return postage if the item is faulty, damaged or item not as described.
So the qr code should be prepaid.

Sorry to read about the hoo-ha with the eBay seller SA. 😡
Glad to read you enjoyed your time out yesterday. It sounds like you got some really nice bargains clothes wise - it's always nice to visit some independent shops that you haven't seen before. 😃
