Your room looks lovely, very warm and welcoming.
Mr SA needs a stern talking too though. What was he thinking?3 -

I wondered how you were going to keep Mr SA away from your chair as he patently can't resist anything he shouldnt touch.
He is crafty though, waiting until you're at the office to have a tinker.
It would be funny if his tinkering wasn't so destructive both to himself and to your hard earned possessions. So soon after his bath/ambulance/hospital experience as well where going against advice played a part too.3 -
He drives me absolutely nuts! Why does he get himself into these scrapes!
He rang me several times at work even though I told him I was in a meeting, I had to ignore the call. I told him not to come out and meet me with the dog on my way home as I wanted to listen to music and just have a nice walk home without having to look out for him crossing roads on his scooter. I'd been back home maybe 30 minutes when he rang yet again, he wasn't downstairs so assumed he was asleep in bed. Despite me telling him not to come out and meet me he had set off and was waiting for me at Lidl, even though I said I wasn't going there! So he had to come back home where I was sat working at my desk.
Aargh 😣
Anyway, on with the MSE side of things...
Today is NSD 3/12. Have done finances and had a small underspend on groceries of £3.95 last week so this has been sent to the Christmas pot, now holds £302.85. CC has been paid off in full, I always clear the balance on a Monday. The various B&M, Range, etc spends haven't hit the balance yet but the money is set to one side in the bank waiting.
Today's exercise is walking to/from work, 18k steps so far, plus a live strength training session. Tonight's dinner is leftover veg curry from Saturday and rice.
Took my homemade soup to work but realised I'd forgotten to take a spoon with me so I had to eat it with the long handled teaspoon I use to stir my coffee, took me ages to eat it 😆
I need to clean the bathroom, finalise tomorrow's Mr M delivery, ironing and a bit of Spanish learning.
Going into work a bit later tomorrow, don't usually go into the office on a Tuesday but it's the meeting with the very big chiefs in the afternoon and I won't finish until late. I'm going to set off after I've put the Mr M shopping away and stop off for a coffee as I have a voucher for a free Costa needs using. Then a quick potter around a couple of shops on the way to the office.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
I wonder if Mr SA gets bored & starts looking for things to do or investigating stuff for something to do (a bit like cats!). I can't think why else he'd try out a swinging chair when he's not steady on his feet & it's not long at all since that awful long time lying in the bath after falling. I wondered if perhaps boredom leads him into trouble?
Re the soup.....at least you had a spoon. It could have been a fork!

I mean I would not dream of going anywhere near a swinging chair. At least Mr SA didn’t break your new chair but how frustrating that he will insist on getting into mischief. Worse than a child. I think boredom may be the root of the problem but not much you can do about that given he won’t help himself like joining clubs like Men in Sheds or something similar. Are there jobs you can set him where he can’t get into trouble or will he not do chores around the house?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I think he gets bored and wanders about looking for things to do that he shouldn’t be doing. He won’t do housework, he says it’s women’s work, yet when he was well, he always did the cleaning if he had a day off work and he always used to help me blitz the house at the weekend. He doesn’t do anything really apart from now the lawns and that takes him forever as he keeps stumbling then his back goes.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Morning happy Tuesday. Just waiting for the Mr M delivery then I’m setting off. No subs or missing items.Looking forward to a coffee and a wander before starting work, not done this for ages so feels like a treat.Holiday balance has come off the card this morning. Less than 10 weeks to go now 🏖I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
