Things can only get better

We went to the Range and I found some curtains I liked 🥳 I was looking for a terracotta colour. The curtains are a bit more orange terracotta than I would’ve liked as the feature wall is more a pinky terracotta but they look great up. OMG the ordeal putting them up though 🤦‍♀️ The finial on one end of the curtain pole fell off, hit the window sill and snapped the end bit clean off. This is an almost brand new window sill 😫 On the plus side it can be glued back on and the curtain hides it. Oh my days 😩

What with the walk to and from the Range, taking the dog on the park and general pottering about, have done 25,000 steps. 

Made a nut roast for tonight’s dinner plus a batch of spicy carrot and lentil soup for work lunches. 

I think I’m going to book Wednesday off work just to spend a much needed day in the garden, lots of plants grown from seed desperately need potting on and bushes need trimming back. I’ve already booked next Friday off, weather forecast is saying 29 degrees for Friday. Not sure what I want to do yet, I haven’t told Mr SA I’m off in case I fancy a trip into town on my own. If it’s going to be hot maybe just for the morning out then an afternoon sunbathing in the garden.

Oh and the painter messaged to say he can start the hall/stairs/landing on 5 July.

My record is 36,000 but that was on a heavy shopping day in a neighbouring city, I was absolutely knackered 🤣🤣

It’s not finished yet but a couple of photos of the refurb. The older cat is fast asleep in the window seat, you can just see her.

Love the flooring colour on the wall is lovely you probably think it feels empty because everything is new but it’s a lovely room I take my hat off to you after what you have to cope with

The corner near the fireplace is presumably where MrSAs chair will go?  Once that's in it shouldn't look empty, and when Mr SA is ensconced in it the room may feel too full!
