Sorry you have had a lot to cope with over the last few days. Hope something can be sorted so this does not happen again. I cannot help but think that alcohol will not help the situation with Mr SA and his "accidents" which presumably was the reason for him trying to shower in the early hours of the morning.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. He often has these "accidents" in the day too but manages to get out of the shower perfectly ok.

Morning, happy Wednesday.
I'm still shattered but gradually catching up on my sleep.
It should be NSD 2/12 today. WFH so no plans to go shopping.
I need to pick up a parcel that went back to the depot on Monday when we were at the hospital. I asked for it to be redelivered yesterday, I didn't leave the house all day and received a message from Royal Mail saying they tried to deliver it and no one was in. I saw the postman walk straight past my house so that's not true!
The painter should be starting today - hopefully. I really hope we can get back into the living room this weekend. It's driving me nuts having Mr SA sat behind me all day while I'm working. I sent him out with the dog yesterday as I was taking minutes in a meeting and didn't want any background noise.
Exercise today will be the long walk to the post depot and back plus a live FitSteps class at 6pm.
I need to sort out something for my dinner from the freezer. Meal plan has gone out of the window this week!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
The painter arrived, I showed him the paint and left Mr SA in charge while I went to pick up the parcel. I just wanted to get out of the house for some fresh air more than anything. Got back home to find I’d made a mistake with the paint and picked up one Matt and one silk. The painter had gone out to fetch another Matt. The thing is I’ve got two tins of silk for the hall and he could’ve used them. Mr SA didn’t think to tell him or think to phone me. All Mr SA said is that I shouldn’t have gone off swanning about 😕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

On a positive note at least you will have beautiful paintwork. Can you get a refund on the unopened tin?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Have you told his Dr that the 'accidents' are beer related? Maybe they could insist that he stops drinking it!I know he has brain injury, but he sounds as though he has the savvy to manipulate you into compying with his demands by incessant bullying or arguing, so you give in for the sake of peace. Could you stop buying his cans in bulk and just buy two a day?I've been a full time carer for OH for 25 years, and it's really difficult, so have some idea of where you're at. ((((hugs))))XXI Believe.....

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy4 -

For example a couple of weeks ago he was horrified to find out his beer supplies were running low. I assured him he had plenty to last until the next delivery. I noticed later the amount had increased, he'd been out and bought more while I was working and sneaked them into the house when I was in the bath. I can only control him so much, he gets a lecture from me every night, it's very stressful.
25 years is a long time to be a carer Chrystal. I've been one for 9 years and shudder at the thought there may be another 16 years of it!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
