Thanks both - and SSG there's no way I'm offended by your comments. Don't go there with him using the oven though  He likes his slow cooker meals so that's an option.

  • Perhaps the oven wasn't one of my better ideas.......:D. But as you have commented, the slow cooker could be the answer......

Great idea to go to concerts on your own. I love my music and there are loads of bands/artists I'd love to see but it's so expensive, not so bad when you're just paying for one. I'm ashamed to say the last famous band I went to see was Culture Club in their heyday. Same thing with the theatre - I could even go to matinees.

My mum loved the theatre, she was a ballerina when she met my dad and took part in many shows. She went to the Royal Ballet School. I was brought up on theatre, dance, music through her love of it. She always used to treat me to the ballet or theatre and I loved going with her. That all ended when she died sadly. Funnily enough Mr SA never objected to me going out in the evening with her.

Anyway he'll have to do the slow cooker next week as I have to go to Birmingham for a meeting that doesn't finish until 4.30 - and then I've got the hour train journey, then the bus home ... Looking forward to it I love going to Birmingham, the train station is fab :) Pity I won't have time for the Bullring though.

  • Totally agree with what SSG has said. You work extremely hard at work and at home and you deserve a social life. Take secret days off and secret evenings off as well. And don't feel guilty. Mr SA does not deserve you.

  • That's really interesting about your mum being a ballerina SA. You should definitely go to the theatre alone if you can't find someone to go with. You should never stop doing something you love. Life is too short.

There's a thing called Meetups on the internet where people just meet up to do things they enjoy, there might be some by you or you could start your own. They're for all kinds of interests...

Why isn't there time to visit the Bullring? Take the later train/bus home, instruct your daughter to feed her father or slow cooker it :)

    That's Monday done :)

Two good ideas there taff :) I'm planning on getting there quite early so there's time for a wander round the very impressive train station. I'm hoping the meeting might finish early so I can head for the Bullring. I've not heard of meet ups, will google it.

Today has whizzed by. A couple of hours in work first, then to Lincoln for a couple of hours, then back to my desk. I love days like this.

A couple of boxes ticked today as it's a NSD plus AFD :)

  • I hope you manage to get to the Bullring, I'd love to go shopping there. Today sounds good.

The Bullring is amazing HHOD. Last time I went shopping there I didn't know where to start first - and Birmingham people are so friendly I almost spent as much time chatting as shopping! Only an hour away from me too.

So - mid week already. Ticked two boxes yesterday - AFD and gym. Today I've been to Pilates so another box ticked :) Doing well with budget too.

Can't believe Mr SA tried to FaceTime me while I was at work! We are not allowed in any way, shape or form to do this at work due to confidentiality more than anything, I could've had something highly sensitive on my desk/screen, apart from the fact that I was actually working!!! Still cross with him to be honest but he won't take it seriously.

Have made arrangements to meet a work friend for lunch on Friday :)
