Morning, happy Easter 🐣
It will be NSD 8/12 today. Need to take the dog out but that’s all.Really must sort out the holiday stuff, still not done it. I also need to get my summer clothes out, had jeans and jumper on yesterday as all my lighter clothes are still packed away. I was boiling! That can be my mission today.Another day of Mr SA moping about talking about heartburn no doubt. I tried keeping out of his way yesterday as he was making me feel down. I was right at the bottom of the garden reading my book and I could hear the dreaded click of his walking stick getting closer by the second 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
It is a nightmare when you can't get to the appointment, ultimately those appointments are a bit of a waste of time. Mum once had one at the hospital - but it was a could be between 1 and 4 thing during covid so I wrote a list of questions and the doctor wrote answers down ! I think I went back to work and had to pick her up.
Awful feeling that dread. I hope you have a good book and Mr SA has a nap.
Happy Easter XXXNevertheless she persisted.3 -
Oh that ominous walking stick click. I think a lot of couples live in harmony by being elsewhere in the house. It reminds me of pride & prejudice where Charlotte Lucas finds ‘she can bear the solitude quite well’ when encouraging Mr Collins to be out in his garden or visiting Lady Catherine 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’m an only child and really like my own space and am used to finding my own entertainment so can’t be doing with people who constantly need entertaining by others. Mr SA is the youngest of 3 so used to being mollycoddled.I got all my summer clothes out and packed away the heavy winters ones. It was actually very stressful as I’d piled everything on the bed and Mr SA decided he needed a nap so was buried under piles of clothes and coat hangers. At one stage I’d managed to get the winter things zipped up in storage bags and on the wardrobe top shelves, took me ages. One bag was catching the sliding doors so Mr SA, being a foot taller than me, said he’d sort them out. I went downstairs for literally seconds and when I returned he’d got all the bags back down from the shelves. He’d misunderstood and thought I wanted the bags down 😩
I have way too many clothes/boots/trainers/sandals/handbags. I have put quite a bit in the charity bag but could do with being a lot more ruthless. Why have I got 14 vest tops 😱 Sadly my favourite coat, a long fake leather jacket, has worn badly on the cuffs and shoulders and I’ve had to let it go, I’ve had it a few years and got it in the sale so had my money’s worth but it was my favourite 🙁
Sometimes I wish I could take it all to the charity shop and start afresh with a well coordinated capsule wardrobe.I’ve decided on a stir fry for tonight’s dinner. Mr SA is having steak. The heartburn tablets I got him yesterday are working thank goodness.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I dream of a well co-ordinated capsule wardrobe @Sun_Addict, but I think I'm too much of an old hippy to make it work.

Morning 🐣
I have an exciting day planned, going to the launderette this morning with the winter duvet 🤣 I need to get it done today while the weather’s good. Not the nicest job but a good one to get out of the way. As the launderette is near an Aldi, will pop in there for a couple of bits. It’s also near a Costa so might have to give in to Mr SA and get him a coffee. Actually I might park him outside there with the dog while I go in Aldi 🤔
Also need to mow the lawns today and do the meal plan from now until we go on holiday. 10 days to go, can actually say we’re going next week! Then 10 days on holiday with Mr SA 😬 Hope they’re well stocked up with gin 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
