Hi SA, long time lurker here. I once read that if you have a cold or other respiratory illness you should avoid strenuous activity as it puts too much strain on your heart. That’s why I always have the perfect excuse of cuddling under the duvet if I feel poorly.4

I agree @curiosity, I don't know about the heart in particular but I think light exercise is as high as I'd want to aim. Instinct tells me I need to channel my energies into fighting this!
I've got Covid at the moment and one of the most helpful things for me is actually napping. I don't have it badly but I seem to run low on energy quickly.
@Sun_Addict, I'm glad you're not testing positive but I agree there are some vile colds going around. Someone I know felt worse with a cold than when she got Covid, and someone else was convinced she had Covid but it never showed up on tests. So look after yourself even if you aren't positive! Hope you feel better soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hope you feel better soon, @ Sun_Addict - Agree that laying off vigorous exercise is a good idea while feeling poorly. Feet up & a good book is what you need for a couple of days.

Thanks all. A fitness instructor once told me if your ailment is from the neck up you’re ok to exercise. If from the neck down no, it’ll put a strain on your heart. Mine is all both 😆 I don’t plan to do anything the way I feel at the moment, I’ll probably just end up watching Fit Steps. Unfortunately I can’t put my feet up yet as I’m working, good job I’m not busy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Mr SA is so annoying he will never admit to doing anything! For some reason he's tried to move a very heavy pot in the garden with a palm tree in it and broken the pot. He's tried to blame it on the kitten! Mmm maybe the fact he has a plaster on his finger and there's blood on the patio door handle gives him away. It's such a shame as this pot was expensive and really nice and there was no need whatsoever to move it. There are so many jobs that need doing in the garden but all he ever does is move stuff back and forth when it doesn't need it 😣
On a more positive note I've received a voucher from Mr M for £36 off my next online order.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
