BIL has finally heard back from his bowel cancer diagnosis. He’s been lucky they’ve caught it early at stage 2. He has to have a course of chemo, if that doesn’t work they’ll operate. In other news I’ve exchanged my Clubcard points for a magazine subscription. This is what I usually spend them on anyway.I’ve taken a portion of nut roast from the freezer and making some maple and chilli spiced roasted root veg to go with it. Mr SA is having slow cooker chicken casserole.Mr SA’s new tablets seem to be working - his blood pressure is going down and he’s not had an upset tummy for a few days now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

I'm glad they caught your BIL early: hope all goes well for him.
Did you do an LFT? I got one of those trendy stripy ones yesterday so I'm on rest and fluids. Not too bad so far! I hope yours comes up negative.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m going to take a test in the morning now. I don’t feel great, my throat is so sore. I have a craving for fiery ginger beer for some reason, of course we don’t have any. I’ve drunk loads and loads of water, I’m really thirsty. I did manage the exercise classes but they weren’t cardio so nothing too strenuous. The airport lounge has cancelled my booking due to reduced hours. I like to park Mr SA in there while I look round the shops. Oh well that’ll be me pushing him round and round departures in a wheelchair then.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The roast root veg with chilli and maple syrup was absolutely delicious, will definitely make this again. Realised above I put maple and omitted the syrup bit, just in case anyone thought I was eating leaves 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Morning, happy hump day
LFT negative this morning. Starting to wonder if I'm doing these tests correctly as I feel dire. Will do another one tomorrow to be on the safe side. I know there's a rotten cold doing the rounds so hopefully it's just that.
WFH today, supposed to be in the office tomorrow but will stay away if I still feel like this. Fortunately it's pretty quiet this week and I don't need to go in for meetings or anything.
A new live exercise class starts tonight - Fit Step. Provided I feel semi-human I'll have a go just to see what it's all about.
It should be NSD 6/12 today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
There are a few people at work who have been feeling rough but testing negative for Covid even though they have all of the classic symptoms.
Fingers crossed for you that it is just a cold and that it is short lived.2 -
