The kitten falling into the pond made me smile (once I knew she was ok). Young cats are daft. My blackcat(2) came home with a mouse last night. Cat is so soppy that he sits with the mouse hanging out of his mouth - when I screamed he dropped the mouse and it ran away. It was like a scene from Tom and Jerry at 11 last night. In the end we gave up - sadly the mouse was deceased this morning and I suspect that Blackcat(1) was the culprit.3

Morning, happy Sunday.
Today will be NSD 4/12 for April.
Lovely and sunny again so got another load of washing is on. The main aim for today is to do some gardening. Not going far just the park across the road with the dog. I need to meal plan for the week too. I also want to finish my book, currently reading The Beekeeper’s Daughter by Santa Montefiore, it’s a lovely book, one you can really get lost in. I love her books.
Mr SA has just got up and the first thing he did was drop his tablets on the floor 😩 I think they’ve all been retrieved.Tonight’s dinner will just be something simple, roast salmon, steamed baby potatoes and veg. Mr SA is having the same but with steak. He’s been advised by the GP to eat smaller portions so I’m gradually cutting his food down.Looking forward to the short working week next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Had to rescue the kitten from a tall silver birch tree in the garden, had to get the long ladders. She’s enjoying exploring but I wish she would stop climbing the trees. She’s a lot calmer at night since she was spayed and has stopped spraying the door mats thankfully.Got quite a bit of tidying up in the garden done then sat in the sun and finished my book. All washing line dried, ironed and put away. The dog has been for a good run on the park and has been enjoying herself in the garden all day. I filled a carrier bag with litter from the park thanks to kids who can’t seem to grasp the concept of putting their empty water bottles and crisp packets in the litter bins provided 🤬Will shortly be having a long soak in the bath with a face pack 🛀I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Forgot to say Mr SA is on a watch pester. He wants one for his birthday at the end of this month. Over 2 years ago I said I’d buy him one for his birthday in Lanzarote and he’s remembered 😐 He has a drawer full of watches, one of which DS managed to get going for him yesterday despite him saying it didn’t work. He said there’s no need to spend a lot on the birthday watch, between £100 and £200 will be fine 😮 Told him I have €50 tops to spend on it, it’s not even a big birthday. Guess what we’ll be doing on day 1 of the holiday as we fly on his birthday 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I'd be finding a suitable box & packaging one of his existing watches up as a look what I bought you, either that or "as none of those watches work let's get rid of them"

Happy Monday. Working from the office today, not many in so it’s pretty quiet. It should be NSD 5/12, big shop coming tomorrow so can last until then.I need to look at finances later.Today’s exercise is walking to/from work and a live strength training session after work. Tonight’s dinner is leftover butternut squash, chickpea and spinach curry from Saturday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Not long until you get away. Hopefully the queuing at the airports will have settled. I live quite close to the airport on the news with all the delays. I have several friends that have travelled at different times in the last couple of weeks - were dreading it after everything they’d seen on the news but went through in less than half an hour……better than some normal times they’ve travelled.
