Finally got through to the doctors this morning 🎉 The receptionist was really helpful to be honest and Mr SA has a telephone consultation this afternoon about the dodgy bowels and an appointment with the nurse on Monday for his high blood pressure.
After the palaver with the chemists last week they have just delivered another prescription for Mr SA, at least he's well stocked up.
Went into the office this morning and am now WFH this afternoon in case the doctor wants to speak to me, they usually struggle to understand what Mr SA is saying because of his slurred speech and I end up speaking to them.
Popped into Lidl on the way home and picked up a raised planter on legs for £24.99. It's a lot bigger than I thought and was a bit awkward to carry but not heavy. I might pick another one up tomorrow if there's any left. The amount I spend on planters, seeds and compost I'm sure it would just be cheaper to buy the veg from the shops 🤣 It does taste nicer though and it's great to potter down the garden and pick home grown.
I wish people would stop leaving our team at work because the collections are now online and you feel obliged to send £5 where normally if it had been an envelope passed round I would've just put a couple of quid in. We've had 3 leave this month and there's another 2 coming up next month that I know of. Sorry if I sound like a skinflint 😆
Walked to and from work, so on 16,000 steps so far. I want to do a pilates or yoga session after work to stretch out a bit. Also got a live WW cookalong later.
It's all go 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Finally some progress being made on Mr SA’s issue. They’re sending him a kit to do a sample and he’s to go for a blood test next week. They want to rule out things like infections, coeliac etc.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

So glad you are getting some action as it cannot be pleasant for either of you.

Glad to hear Mr SA's problems being taken seriously @Sun_Addict. There are so many bowel conditions that manifest in that way - even common ones like diverticulitis & I know from my Mum's experiences that gastro infections can hang around a lot longer when people's immune system isn't functioning as well as it might. So much better for both of you if it turns out to be something which can relatively easily be cleared up.

What a relief to have Mr SA's problems investigated, as well as the extra meds!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Friday and that’s me back home from work and done for the week 🥂
Picked up another raised planter trough from Lidl, used a £2 off coupon towards it.Could get used to this warm sunny weather. On my walk home I passed loads of people sitting outside the bars along the canal, it was like summer.I think I spent more time talking than working today, saw loads of people I haven’t seen for 2 years. I still got done what I needed to do though.I should end the day on well over 20k steps, not far off that now. I really must try and fit some stretches in tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I didn’t do the stretches but I did sit in the greenhouse reading a couple of chapters of my book with the older cat on my knee and it was so relaxing.I’ve had a very kind offer of a lift to my friend’s funeral next week. This person is going out of their way but I’ve accepted their offer. Otherwise it would’ve been an hour’s walk or a taxi. I don’t like to put people out but realise I need to accept offers of help rather than turn them down because I don’t want to inconvenience anyone. DIL is going to do my nails tomorrow - red as per dress code of the funeral. I just need to secure a lift from the funeral to the pub next to work so I can attend another colleague’s retirement do in the afternoon 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
