Happy Friday 🥂
Day off for me, nice not to have to log on. Also nice to not have the kitchen tap dripping.Plans for today are to tidy and clean the house and finish putting up the Christmas decorations. Plus walking the dog of course, a couple of trips to the park across the road, no further.
It will be a spends day as I need to pick up some bread, pay the plumber and take Mr SA out for lunch. I still need to go to Lidl to spend the £10 voucher before it expires although that could be left until tomorrow. It won’t be an expensive lunch as Mr SA is happy just to go to Spoons and I can always find something in there I like. Our local pub is lovely but very expensive for what you get which is a shame and probably why it’s always empty.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
We have not been to either of our local pubs for a while now. No particular reason. Might schedule in a meal after work one evening in the week. They have some cracking offers on food mid week.4

All the decorations are finally up 🥳 I need to get some outdoor lights for the covered area where Mr SA keeps his scooter but that’s it.Went for lunch. Mr SA not too good with his balance today and really struggled to walk the short distance from his scooter to a seat.Couldn’t resist these two bits from a local card/gift shop 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Just come up in my FB memories 8 years ago today since Mr SA got the all clear. He’s done amazingly well to stay in remission all these years. Those who followed my previous diary will remember just how poorly he was.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9

They are both ceramic and quite heavy. Need to find a way to hang the heart so it’s secure and doesn’t break. It’s a lovely little shop, lots of really nice gifts and plenty of cards. I love giving local small businesses my custom.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Not Covid apparently. Not sure how old he was but in his 60s I think. He was a few years older than me, my memories are of going to his mum and dad’s house on Boxing Day and my cousins getting ready to go out. I was just a nipper sitting reading my book in the corner. My mum was so fond of my cousins, he was her brother’s son, oh it’s just so sad 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
