I wonder if, because of the increased pressure due to the excessive delay in some cases coming to court, they are trying to get some through quicker. I do hope so. With people remanded in prison for offences which they are not even going to get a custodial sentence for, something serious does need to be done. Also they may be sending out more notifications because more people are not able to go to court because they are more at risk re covid.

What a day. Not only manically busy at work but a) no sign of the plumber yet, b) my printer is playing up and the print quality is terrible on the photocopies I need to support Mr SA’s case for not being able to do jury service and c) spent ages faffing about with the TV as Mr SA had bu££ered up the Virgin box.And the dog has been a little s0d today too.
Couldn’t go to Lidl as I was waiting for the plumber all day.I rang the coroner’s court and they said he wouldn’t have to do jury service but I needed to send in supportive evidence with a covering letter, hence the need for the printer. I’ve scanned and sent everything via email in the hopes that will suffice.I can hear a glass of wine calling my name.
On the plus side looks like I’ve achieved NSD 1/10 for December by default.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

I'm sorry that your day has been pants. I had a plumber booked to come tomorrow but he texted me and told me that he couldn't come today. I told him that he wasn't supposed to and cancelled him. I've messaged one that I know does good work instead. I was trying to give a younger person a chance but water can do so much damage if it's not handled properly can't it?

The plumber is coming shortly he’s just phoned. I heard about the Virgin TV problems from a local FB, apparently it was everywhere not just local.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

The tap is finally fixed 🥳 It was a faulty tap apparently and he had to fit a new valve. I should’ve kept the receipt, although would still have had to get a plumber out.Mr SA was so embarrassing and kept asking the plumber daft questions 😬I’ve booked the kitten in at the vets for next Wednesday for a check over, vaccines etc.
Mr SA was pestering me to go into town with him tomorrow, I just want to get on with the Christmas decorations. I finally managed to come to a compromise and said if I get the decorations up by lunchtime we’ll go out for lunch locally. He’s happy with that.Have rearranged the lunch with friends for the week after next. Fingers crossed it goes ahead. Can still claim a NSD as no plumbers bill yet 😃I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Forgot to add Mr SA actually thanked me for sorting out the juror service for him. I feel he doesn’t always appreciate or realise how hard it is for me to not only hold down a demanding full time job but run a house single handed and look after him.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

I think I’ve finally stopped faffing with the tree now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)11
