They had an offer on buy one get one half price so I bought a small cross body bag to use for work for the half price bag. I’ve had bags from them before and they’re great. Got a fabulous travel bag from them a few years ago.So on your recommendation I went to their website and liked one of the bags so much I bought one. I'm very fussy about bags, they have to have lots of pockets [check], be over the shoulder [ check] fairly plain but a nice shape [ check], black [check] and when I buy one, I usually wear it until it's falling apart before I buy another one. The one I had was OK, ticked all the boxes but only bought two years ago because I had to go to a funeral and needed something smarter than my falling apart canvas one [my usual purchase used to be one from the army and navy stores but I can't find them now]. I got it Wednesday and took it with me yesterday on an overnight stay and I managed to fit such an unbelievable amount of stuff in it , it was just like a tardis. I fit in all the toiletries, make up remover, cotton wool pads, contact lens case, contact lens wash, make up, toothpaste and toothbrush, kindle, phone, keys, spare thin thermal top and a change of underwear, a tin of mints, a shopping bag, mask, gloves, purse and pills. It saved me taking an overnight bag. Thank you very much for finding me a new bag that I love and don't just tolerate. I may have to get another one in reserve...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

It’s 5 years ago today that Mr SA ran over my ankle and trashed it. For anyone who wasn’t around to witness this momentous occasion- he knocked me over on his scooter in the middle of a busy retail park car park, broke the inner and outer ankle bones, dislocated it and it was only the swift actions of the paramedics that prevented the bone from piercing my skin. I’ve now got a plate and screws holding it together.I still shudder at the memory 😱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Oh my life, @Sun_Addict - That ankle incident sounds horrendous. I have a dodgy ankle from an altercation with a welly-boot (eye roll), but that breakage must have been horribly painful & I'm glad it could be mended. And because you were accidentally run over by your own partner, you couldn't very well claim compensation either!
Re the rug/cat poo incident. I can only think that this is some sort of territory claiming thing because there is a new feline in the house. Isn't it just typical that it happens straight onto a new rug?! My guess is that it's an "Oi, mate, I live here!"

This time of year it’s best that I stay indoors wrapped in bubble wrap 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Absolute chaos this lunchtime. I was in a meeting that overran and went past Mr SA’s regimented lunchtime of 12 on the dot. He shuffled past complaining he was starving. Had to put myself on mute to tell him to wait and get back on his perch. Then the dog ran past with a slice of pizza she’d pinched from DD’s bin and wanted to go outside and bury it in the garden. Then to add insult to injury, after work I did a You Tube Zumba workout, which incidentally I really enjoyed, and Mr SA shuffled in to remind me it was time to have my bath because he was starving. This was at 6pm 🤬 He’s lucky he’s not wearing his fish and chips.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Whilst clearing up the dinner pots and cleaning the kitchen, I caught a bit of Gary Davies 80s radio show. Took me right back to the early 80s when he was on the radio, was it Radio 1? He used to say he was young free and single with a fading suntan 🤣 Then I remembered Simon Bates and Our Tune. Anyone else remember it? Where I worked at the time had the radio on all day as I do now when I’m working from home.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
