Morning, happy Wednesday
Hoping for a day of being able to get on with my work properly today with no meetings and no ad hoc requests 🤣🤣
The kitten has pooped in my plant pot this morning! At least it wasn't on the floor and easily cleaned up. I wouldn't mind but her cat litter tray was right next to it 😐
The dog has got used to the kitten being around and not constantly trying to smell her. The older cat is coming round slowly.
Have been for a short walk this morning to clear my head. Mr SA woke me up at 4am shining a torch in the bedroom and shuffling about noisily. I struggled to get back to sleep after that so got up at 5. It was nice to sit reading with a coffee in the peace and quiet though. He was acting a bit strange last night and randomly started ranting about how he had to get rid of his work van and wished he'd kept it. I tried to make him understand it would just be a rust bucket by now standing on the drive doing nothing but he wouldn't have it. No idea what made him suddenly think about it.
Making veggie meatballs and orzo for tonight's dinner.
Have a load of washing on the line but it's quite murky today so probably won't dry. Also stripped the bed and put some Christmas bedding on so that's in the wash.
Need to give the bathroom a good clean today.
Today's FitOn workout is Booty Builder. Dog walking at lunchtime.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

The kitten is getting more and more confident. She’s starting to wander around the house exploring. The dog has been really good with her surprisingly, even the older cat is getting used to her.Tomorrow I’m in the office for the one day a week tick the box exercise 😐
The veggie meatballs were lovely but remembered why I’ve not made them for ages - what a faff involving several of my kitchen gadgets and lots of washing up. Made 2 portions and will take the remainder to work for lunch tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Pleased the kitten is settling in nicely.Hope you get chance to do a bit of mooching for some you time whilst at work 👍January spends - £587.584

Day in the office done ✅
It was ok actually, only 4 of us on our wing. I was the first one in so was on my own for a bit then the others appeared. There were around 70 free desks to sit at but they all chose to sit near me, so there were 4 of us sitting together when there was all that space! I only knew one of them. On the plus side the woman who I didn’t know sitting next to me turned out to live near me, never seen her before in my life. We had a good chat and it turned out she also walks to work and doesn’t have a car. Talk about a small world.
Went to Pets at Home at lunchtime and got some jingle balls for the kitten plus Christmas bits to wrap up for all 3 fur babies. Then managed to find a new rug for the living room in Homesense in the clearance bit, fits perfectly and is light enough to go in the washing machine.Went to Lidl on the way home, picked up a few bits, Mr SA met me with the dog so she had a good walk home. Have done just over 22k steps so all in all a productive day.Shattered now though 🥱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Glad the kitten is settling in well - kittens are so gorgeous. When I got my two rescue cats, one was unknown age but probably 4 or 5 and the other was 20 weeks old so not super tiny but a bit gangly, full of fun and affection.6

Happy Friday, another week flown by.
Already done my Black Friday shopping with the freezer purchase so it will be NSD 10/12 for me today. Probably the first time in a few years that I've not actually bought anything on Black Friday. Pre-covid I used to finish work early and get most of my Christmas present shopping done on Black Friday.
On the subject of Covid I was notified of another case in the office on the same day as me last week. I don't think I came into contact with them though, it sounds like they were sitting on a different wing.
Well the new rug has been christened by the older cat, I can't believe it. She must be last week's culprit. So it's been in the washing machine already. Mr SA has spilt water all over the kitchen floor so I've just had to mop that up too! He's not with it this morning, very unsteady on his feet and he's convinced it's Saturday!
The dog and the kitten had a little altercation this morning when they approached each other for a sniff and the kitten spat in the dog's face which made her growl.
Anyway best get cracking, have a good one.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I can't have rugs in the house because the dog sees them as a cozy place to pee. She doesn't do it anywhere else in the house. Maybe your cat is having a "dirty" protest against the kitten? We could really do with a new rug for the living room. The one we have is too small it came from the old house but the dog loves it. It's his rug and he plays with his toys and chews his deer antler on there. Saves getting the carpets dirty!4

Sun_Addict said:I’ve ordered a backpack for my work laptop from Mia Tui. They had an offer on buy one get one half price so I bought a small cross body bag to use for work for the half price bag. I’ve had bags from them before and they’re great. Got a fabulous travel bag from them a few years ago.So on your recommendation I went to their website and liked one of the bags so much I bought one. I'm very fussy about bags, they have to have lots of pockets [check], be over the shoulder [ check] fairly plain but a nice shape [ check], black [check] and when I buy one, I usually wear it until it's falling apart before I buy another one. The one I had was OK, ticked all the boxes but only bought two years ago because I had to go to a funeral and needed something smarter than my falling apart canvas one [my usual purchase used to be one from the army and navy stores but I can't find them now]. I got it Wednesday and took it with me yesterday on an overnight stay and I managed to fit such an unbelievable amount of stuff in it , it was just like a tardis. I fit in all the toiletries, make up remover, cotton wool pads, contact lens case, contact lens wash, make up, toothpaste and toothbrush, kindle, phone, keys, spare thin thermal top and a change of underwear, a tin of mints, a shopping bag, mask, gloves, purse and pills. It saved me taking an overnight bag. Thank you very much for finding me a new bag that I love and don't just tolerate. I may have to get another one in reserve...This wasn't a travel bag by the way, just the Matilda Mae bag...
