I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope you have support from friends and family and that because things have been found early that the amount of treatment needed is as minimal as possible.

    Hugs

I have a wonderful solicitor, she was recommended by my niece, omg she is so lovely and is picking up on anything I ask her to check, septic tank, loans on the house, vacant possession etc She said that she had been working on my file at the weekend. I bet this is all done and dusted very soon after the survey. Surveyor was also recommended

Kondo has been a gift from above. Nothing is having to go out from here and I have spent just a couple of half days getting ready for the photographer in about 12 days however I am using the garage and big dry shed to hide stuff. Sparkle clean next week and some flowers later and that will do

Small local outdoor gathering last weeked. I sat next to someone who came to the door and said he was lonely the day after funeral, no choice it was the only seat left. We chatted fine, he said he was mortgage free, still practising as building professional, although left it as a job years ago, talk about hinting. Then he asked if I would like to go to a country dance last weekend. No flipping way, he is creepy and I have utterly no interest in spreading my wings that way but like LL :) it was flattering to be asked

Local handyman is working locally, he said he would be pleased to help :D. I am now making further mental plans re kitchen and will get the gas cooker out and provision made for new boiler in a different place, so that it will be `easy` to get rid of cupboards when the time comes. Ok I will have to get a small potable stove but don`t care, I will manage fine, will be for maybe 3 months. It was always the heavy prep that was bothering me. I am getting induction hob and electric stoves like here. Think I will go and look at the showroom tomorrow and say hello and look at the units

Oh yes feng shui will be important especially which way the bed is facing. I think I will be able to be in the best place ie facing west but may be east like here. As for cupboards, I love what I have here so it will be one large white wooden inbuilt wardrobe and I will use my 2 oak chests of drawers and the 2 matching bedside tables and no mirrors. Will still want the 2 singles side by side, it makes a good extra space for putting stuff temporarily. No way facing south

I feel like the ten plagues of Egypt come to life. Today's joy is a massive cold sore. Interestingly it is on the same side of my face as the shingles were in my mouth and it has set the mouth pain off again. I know shingles, herpes (cold sores) and chicken pox are all related so not sure what is going on but feel awful. I think I might have to give in and see doctor if this carries on.

I know strong sunlight can trigger cold sores but I always wear factor 50 and I'm not a sun worshiper so no lying out in the sun.

Kittie.....that guy does sound creepy, obviously "setting his stall out" as we say here. :rotfl: yes I would find that kind of obvious selling his wares deeply unattractive too. Where's the wit, charm, humour in that approach. About as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Good that you are happy with "Team Kittie". Working with good people you like and trust is half the battle.

Humpty......sounds like your immune system is screaming for help, it's certainly sending out enough SOS signals. Sleep, rest, the right food, maybe supplements and vitamins.
  • Signs of more cold sores, one on my upper lip and one on the other side of my mouth. Very unusual as I can't remember having cold sores on that side of my face. I've got some aciclovir tablets so hopefully they will prevent the outbreaks and help heal the one I have. I've always suffered really badly from cold sores so I can generally notice the signs before I have an outbreak. GPs don't seem keen to prescribe aciclovir for cold sores but it works really well for me.

Your body sounds exhausted and stressed and near burn out. Is there anything like massage, yoga, meditation, hypotherapy that you can do?

    Hugs

The aciclovir is working a treat the two tingling areas (warning sign for cold sore) have settled down and the existing one is shrinking. Why didn't I use it yesterday? I never even thought of it, which probably shows you the state I'm in. I got a supply on a private prescription and haven't had to use it for ages but I must remember in future.

Elona funnily enough I have a voucher for a spa day with a facial which I intended to book yesterday but when I saw the cold sore I decided to leave it until that heals. I think it looks like rain here and that will give me a boost, I'm afraid I'm not a sun lover, when I picked up GS from school yesterday I was sitting on the granny bench (bench that is in the shade near the gate which is generally grabbed by grannies) and someone said I looked like I was melting which was exactly how I felt.

humpty my hubbie used to get these breakouts when the sun came out, he was a cyclist and was plagued by them. It wasn`t the immune system, it was a reaction to the sun and I believe was caused by steroid cream on the face many years ago. My son also gets facial outbreaks and he had steroid cream as a child. Hubbie did find that P20 was very helpful before going out

LL have you done all that money laundering stuff? So many bits of paperwork to get together and once this is over I will only be staying with the nationwide and ns&i which had print buttons. I quickly had to learn how to do screenshots. Arghh now I have to go and read the rest of what is needed, besides proof of funds. This is when it is becoming very scarey and monday I will take this stuff in person, no turning back from fees

kittie the sun does trigger them but that isn't it with me, I've hardly been out except for school pick up and I wear a factor 50 face cream so I can't blame the sun this time although when I was younger I had many an attack caused by the sun.

I think I am run down and my immune system just doesn't cope well with the virus, I get them if I am stressed, tired, run down or out in the sun.

Your purchase seems to be progressing quickly kittie, you will be in there before you know it.
