I completed a short survey this morning and had an instant message asking me to return the submission due to a failed attention check.

I am 100% certain I answered every question and even remember the two attention check questions and their requested answers.

I replied to the researcher saying I wouldn't return the submission explaining why and quoting the two attention check questions.

Is there anything else I could do or should do?

  • ^ same it it was an AI 15 min study. Instant message about failed attention check but I had two: select strongly agree and neither agree or disagree. I have screenshots of both and the consent form with contact information. Waiting to hear back.

Yeah, that's the one.  Seems like they have an error on their system for detecting attention checks.

Hopefully we'll both get sorted out.

    Right Hire

    By Derek Ho

    £14.00 • £44.92/hr

    18 mins

    0 places

We are working with a company that wants to use software to help their hiring managers make better hiring decisions.

The company wants an external view (i.e. your help) to help them decide what data should be collected by the software to meet their objectives.

This survey will take about 40 minutes to complete. Payment in full requires you to pass the 2 attention check questions and complete the survey in full.

    Your responses are completely anonymous.

    Thank you for your participation.

This one appeared this morning at 7 o clock and i was under strict time constraints and so I was a little bit reluctant to attempt it, as i feared that I would run out of time and have to return it.

Glad that i did, as even though there was a bit of typing involved to justify decisions made, it took me 35 mins and my typing speed is rather slow.

So if you see it, try and get a place as it pays instantly as well. :)

Whoever was doing the "language study" from Stanford on that day a few weeks ago when Prolific didn't work - I just got it again, a different title but the same strange study... I never received a response from Prolific or the researcher when I messaged them to say the status still says returned (even though I'd completed it), so I guess this is their way of solving the issue...

I've only had one survey in the last week. Is everyone else getting surveys or is it just me?

I’ve had a fair few pop up, most of which I couldn’t do as at work. But I’ve not done many lately so I think their algorithm is kicking in,

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I've actually had a short survey today so I'm pleased they haven't stopped sending them altogether.

I've had a couple of great studies today, one for £15 and the other £12.40 + bonus to come.  Both were about an hour long, a good day today.
