I copy and paste as I go along in case of memory attention checks.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I prefer to use an old Dell laptop that I keep specifically for Prolific use. This keeps everything separate from work etc.I have a smartphone (Huawai P20) which has quite a large screen but with my 'sausage fingers' I struggle a bit with studies on it.I prefer copy and pasting as I go along as this has a secondary benefit of it being very unlikely that I will be criticised for completing a study too fast.
It is not possible to copy and paste with some studies, so I then use the Firefox screenshot tool and save to the desktop.I understand, but I would still prefer to use the laptop (buttons are bigger,). Thanks for the suggestion though anyway. Very helpful.
Edit - forgot to add, I am a type 3C diabetic and this has damaged my nerve endings in my fingers so, I struggle to use the phone buttons reliably and some days are better than others, but it would not be something I could rely on.1 -
HomeCooking: Play an online cooking game in a 2-part study (£12-15 pay for ~1h 45min)
By Alexander Koch£9.00 • £6.00/hr90 mins23 placesYou will play an online cooking game in which you prepare several dishes while data is gathered on your actions in the game. This information, together with two surveys that you fill in, allow us to study decision making in the context of domestic food preparation.
I have been busy all weekend decorating, so did not look at Prolific at all. I have been promising my other half to decorate the bathroom all summer, so I had to get it done before the first frost appears, most is completed with some minor touch ups next weekend.
This study appeared this morning when I eventually logged in, but unfortunately I do not have the time available to spare but I hope someone manages to catch it

Study set
By I SM£0.72 • £5.75/hr7 mins0 placesThis study set consists of two short tasks: your personal reflection on current events and making choices.
Some parts of the study might involve listening to the audio, therefore functioning speakers, headphones, or webcam are needed to complete this study.
Some studies completed are easy to figure out what the purpose of them are, but some like this one, are not so clear in their intent.
Also I assume as sometimes happens, there are different versions floating around, as there was no audio content to the one I completed.
The time quoted was quite generous, even for me

I started this one but they wanted me to webcam video my comments as well as writing them so I returned it. Not up for that. The write up should have made it clear that that was a possibility. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
And another one that wanted me to webcam myself. I look about 90 this morning - I’d do it if there was a “30 years younger” filter I could use.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

The About You section includes a question "Would you be willing to record yourself via a webcam as part of a study?" and another "Do you have webcam or built-in camera that you are willing to use as part of a study?" - to both of which I have always answered No, as the computer I use for Prolific has no webcam. (I very, very rarely use even the webcam on my laptop - Christmas Zoom calls, mainly.) This does not prevent some studies asking me to use one, so they are clearly not bothering to apply the appropriate filters.

I hope your decorating went well - I took part in this study and completed both sections. It paid reasonably well, and I got a decent bonus out of it. I reckon all-in, both parts took around an hour and a half, and I got just shy of £15 for it. The study was fun, most of it consisted of a game (which became a bit repetitive by the end) and a few questions.1 -
Has anyone signed up for the one below? I started but it seemed like way too much effort logging on every day (sometimes twice a day) for a fairly low pay rate.
3 weeks multiday-study on improving anxiety (9.51 to 9.84£/hr with participation bonuses)

I was going to but it said you can’t use iPhone SE - wasn’t sure if that ruled out the new SE or not. Then thought about it a bit more and didn’t want to commit to a survey every morning. My mornings are rushed at the best of times. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
