Measuring Concerns about Chronic Illness
By uni.sydney.edu.au£3.75 • £9.26/hr24 mins0 placesWe are conducting a research study about a newly developed questionnaire which assesses concerns related to living with chronic illness. We are interested in testing the performance of our measure in assessing these concerns. Your help will allow us to further refine our measure and ensure that our final scale is user-friendly and applicable to a wide range of individuals with chronic illnesses. Taking part in this study is voluntary.
To be eligible for this study you must be: 1) an adult (above the age of 18); 2) have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes, 3) have NEVER been diagnosed with cancer, and 4) have a proficient level of English.
I am type 1 diabetic so this study appeared this morning and I just managed to secure a place. I was glad about that as things have been extremely slow so far this week on Prolific.
It was mainly a tick boxes with a short word association exercise and the time quoted was quite accurate for me.

Attention & Confidence in decision-making
By psy.ox.ac.uk£10.87 • £10.03/hr65 mins15 placesIn this study, you will be asked to make a series of decisions by reproducing the orientation of a visual stimulus, and sometimes to indicate your attentional focus and confidence in your responses. Sometimes, you will also have to report the identity of a visual target letter. You will get the chance to earn extra rewards based on the points earned during the experiment. The points are calculated based on how well you perform during the experiment. Before starting, please make sure you have a credit/debit card or a card of the same dimensions at hand, you will need it to confirm the size of your screen using our visual adjustment procedure. Be aware that this task requires sustained visual attention.Sadly I do not have the time available to attempt a study of this length at present but I'm sure many will.

Study on Decision-making
By vu.nl£1.50 • £90.60/hr4 mins0 placesThis is a study on people's decision makings. It takes less than 10 minutes. The minimum payment for completing the study is ₤1.50. Additional payment beyond this minimum payment depends on your decisions during the study. Both payments will be paid via your Prolific account.
Had this last night - fairly standard I thought. Only took 4 minutes for the study and then was awarded £6 bonus payment this morning as well as the submission approval! Can't argue with £7.50 for 4 minutes of 'work'!

Managed to access this study but after the first few demographic questions it stated:
"You are ineligible for this study as this is ONLY valid for the full-time employed professionals in the finance and banking industry".Very odd as it does not mention this requirement in the introduction anywhere, luckily it was only a ten bob study or I would have been more militant perhaps

I had the same thing happen, and I reported it as having screened me out. It was annoying as it didn't specify in the preamble that they wanted full time finance sector employees. Sloppy!1
-
Yep - I also had this one. I made sure that I reported it1

£6 and a £4 one today, neither of which I could do because I was at work. Pfft. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I got my 1st rejection.. i thought i had returned it but i must have clicked completed by mistake, and i had only answered 3 questions.. will it count against me too much?I have completed 77 submissions so farMany thanks to all who contribute on MSE0

A rejection is always disappointing, faerielight. Maybe one of the experienced participants will have an idea about how many rejections are allowed before it becomes a concern. Try not to be too discouraged.1
