MollyR said:Thanks for that. No, no "Pending Cash Out" appears for me, so I will just have to keep my reminder in my diary and chase them in at the end of August! The "Pending Cash Out" only appears if you unsuccessfully tried to cash out between the problem appearing and cash outs being suspended. It means that cash out is in limbo until the problem is sorted.I'm not sure how much confidence it inspires that the twitter thread Prolific have linked to about the issue is dated March 4th. (The thread linked to above by ndf9876 is current, however.)1

I reckon they've just recycled some old code used at the time - either way, at least they've now taken the decision to suspend cash-out so as not to compound the situation further for participants. It'll be a bumper cash-out when they do re-enable it though, so there's that0 -

I have a balance and wondered about trying to cash out but feel a bit unsure in case there is still a problem. Glad to hear if anyone has had a successful 'cash out' today, thanks.I tried to 'cash out' just now and it said: "Cash out is temporarily disabled." It is better to know than to be allowed to proceed and run into problems.I hope those of you have trapped cash out payments, get them soon.

They've updated the twitter link to the current thread. (I had to reload the studies page to have it show the correct link.)

Yes, i was totally confused at first as the message stated ' payments suspended over the weekend' on the prolific studies page and as stated the link took me to an old Twitter thread.I forgot, this is prolific where all normality goes out of the window and the singularity reigns supreme.Probably yet another 'update' has thrown a spanner in the works. The usual course of action is to blame Paypal.Once they've rolled back the update, found the error in the code and pushed the button again all should be well.0

I just received my cash out from yesterday afternoon. Looks like they've got the issue with PayPal sorted.

Well-being & Work
By Beck Johnson£2.63 • £16.94/hr9 mins130 placesIn this study, we'll ask you about your well-being and work experiences. It should take you 10-15 minutes to complete. This study was waiting when I logged on at 6 am. I seem to be inundated with these work related studies but not complaining as they are easy money all things considered.Took me around 15 mins due to a number of free text comment boxes but mainly a tick box exercise.

Learning about sound sequences -- requires headphones!
By Jennifer Culbertson£3.35 • £9.66/hr20 mins0 placesYou will hear a series of simple sound sequences, and try to learn how they work. Then you will be asked to identify which you have heard. The study takes around 20 minutes to complete.
Did anyone else do this one? I'm wondering if I missed something, or indeed if there was a part of the study missing. It went straight into playing sequences and asking me if I'd heard them before, without having played any previously or given me any chance to learn how they work. I had no idea what I was supposed to be listening for, and my answers were pure guesswork. The study finished after about 8 minutes - far shorter than estimated - which makes me wonder if there was a section missing. Should I message the researcher?0
