Reading Study
By Hiroki FujitaIn this task, you will read a series of English sentences on screen. The study should last about 20 minutes.0 places£2.80 • £7.64/hr22 minsNot a bad start to the week, a little tedious but better than a tick box extravaganza. The stopwatch recorded me as taking a little over 20 mins to complete, You are allowed breaks but I took none.1 -
I'm not sure if it is just co-incidence but, because some studies require Chrome Browser, most of the time I have Prolific open in Chrome. For an unrelated reason I had both Chrome and Firefox open this morning and I was surprised to find notification of a study coming earlier on Firefox than on Chrome. Before opening Firefox (and having both browsers open) I missed about 3 or 4 study notifications on Chrome either because they were already full or, by the time I clicked on them (often straight away) they were, again, full.I have now had one successful study where both browsers were open and the notification came up first of all on Firefox. I clicked to start straight away and managed to reserve one of the few places and start.Could it be that some study notifications do come through a bit earlier on e.g. Firefox before the notification reaches Chrome? I know it may well just be a coincidence.Crimson1

I've had the same Deleted_User. I normally have the Microsoft Edge browser open for work and then Chrome for studies. I've noticed that sometimes studies come through on one of the browsers but I never see them at all on the other browser.
For me, Chrome seems to be quicker and I secure more places using that browser but I have had studies on Edge that I never get alerted to on Chrome. I've also seen studies that were full on Chrome and then they come through 10 minutes later on Edge with places but they never reappear on Chrome. I don't understand it and have stopped trying to figure it out. I'm sure there's a reason that the techwizards out there understand perfectly well but I'm not one of them.
I'm just thankful to get on any study on any browser!!!1 -
Learn to effectively protect the Galaxy from invaders.

Anyone get this one to work? A few minutes in, it wanted to test the keys that I would be using during the game. The first two keys, Tab and Backspace, worked fine, but it would not respond to the third, my Right Ctrl key (which works absolutely fine everywhere apart from in this study). So I had to return it, and messaged the researcher with a hope that I might be compensated for the minutes I had already spent on it.1 -

By Dan Walker0 placesThe test scenario:
Imagine you have £2000 to spend on a new dining table & chairs for your own house. Add your choice of furniture to the cart (get to the checkout but do not place the order).

Managed to get a place but got an error message at the beginning stating that there was a problem with my internet connection.
Tried a few times but sadly had to return the study in the end.Debt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

Factor analysis, Jason Brown.
50p for 21 minutes, 1.42 an hour.
Was going to report it but someone has been daft enough to accept the place and it's vanished again. Talk about taking the proverbial. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

I got this and reported it. Not surprisingly perhaps, it was one of the few to have places remaining when I got it. No, I didn't accept a place either.

Study on organizational behavior (Part II)
Hosted by Eriselda DanajGot a rejection on this one on the grounds that I hadn’t completed all the information required.
I did actually complete it and received a completion code.
Interestingly part 1 was the week before and the blurb said you would need to complete all 3 parts to receive payment for all the parts. Part 3 was due to be sent to me on 1 June and wasn’t offered to me, so I suspect that is why part 2 was rejected. Part 1 for £3 reward is still ‘awaiting review’ from 16 May!Going back to the part 1, the blurb said “ This current survey is the FIRST of a THREE-PART STUDY about your behavior and perceptions at work (e.g., your job, your supervisor, your organization, etc.) and in your life (e.g., your personality, your family, etc.). The next study for this project will become available within 3-4 weeks (in early June) and the third study within 7-8 weeks (in early July).Note that you will receive payment for Studies 1, 2, and 3 only AFTER you successfully completed ALL THREE studies in about 8 weeks time. We received prior approval from Prolific for this type of setup.”
So the dates they gave for completion of later parts in part 1, don’t match the date for part 3 they gave in part 2.
In any case they haven’t sent me part 3, so I’ve not had an opportunity to complete all 3 sections, yet they’ve rejected part 2.
