Living longer, working well - factors influencing people's ability to work
By uq.edu.au0 places£2.13 • £8.04/hr
15 mins
Another very slow weekend but this just appeared so was better than nothing at all. All the tick boxes reminded of the horrible surveys you get on Qmee etc and the timing prediction was just as bad.
15 mins! Must be joking, took me over 30 mins, more like 40 mins, I did not note the time I started.
From 15 April 2022 the minimum pay will increase to £6.00 / $8.00 per hour on Prolific and I wonder how many will comply with the higher rate of pay?

I was just wondering, with inflation where it is, if Prolific were going to be increasing their rate of pay. I wasn't very hopeful, so it's a nice surprise to see they are. It's from the 21st, though, not the 15th - makes sense, as their office is going to be closed from the 13th to the 20th.

Behavioural and Physiological Markers of Bayesian Reasoning

55 minsSpeaking of payment. This popped up at 6.30 this morning with plenty of places and did hang around for a long time, but I have no time available to spend an hour or more completing a study this early, especially for this sort of reward. The accompanying text states 'will take 1 to 2 hrs to complete but you can take breaks'If it had been £10 I just might have tried to squeeze it in but no thanks, not 6.30 in the morning, I have not yet had enough coffee to kick start my brain yet.

Everything seemed to be going well as I answered the questions and ticked the boxes. After 15 minutes, when I clicked next, as instructed, to go to the next page, a sign/notice came up occupying the screen saying that there was no credit left. The only choice I had was to click O.K. and, when I did, the screen went black. I waited then when it was possible, I clicked 'completed study but with NO CODE.I did this because I had already completed quite a bit of the study and was not asked to Return the Study. The study was to take 55 minutes and was to be £5.I sent a message to the Researcher to explain what had happened and what I had done and I let Prolific know.I wonder if this has happened to anyone else after starting this study?Crimson

Of course on the 'Y Live' website they state 'Here at Y Live, we typically pay members £1 for every minute they spend answering the questions provided'.I can only assume that claim is meant purely for answering the questions and not reading them or any other aspect of the survey, ha, ha, makes me laugh!

Thanks for replying, warby68. Has the Researcher replied to you and did you receive a completion code? I have not heard from the Researcher yet.
Thanks.

Same for me with that study in that it had no credit left. I ended up returning it though as I'd only done the initial questionnaire. I messaged the researcher when I got stuck, waited a bit then returned it. Haven't heard back from them either.1
