Entrepren - validation
By Yating Wang63 placesYour work experience over the last week£0.43 • £1.00/hr25 minsUsual nonsense from Yating (YT) Wang yet again. Opened merely out of curiosity and it was exactly the same study as previously presented with multiple tick boxes, constantly repeating itself and pretty much impossible to complete without timing out.All that for 43p?No thanks, so returned and reported as underpaying for the 3rd or 4th time (so far). They are located in Cardiff Uni which is very close to me, It would be interesting to pay them a visit just to find out what it is all about, there has to be a reason for this behaviour, it cant just be a funding issue as other studies I have completed from cardiff.ac have been well paying.1 -
I'm afraid this is another day when the study notifications are either already full or, with Gorilla Platform, allow a place (the last one had 14 places available) to be reserved only to receive this, unfortunately all to common now, notice: "Experiment not available This experiment is currently full. Please cancel the task on Prolific."As well as informing Prolific, I let the Researcher know about it but, there is almost always this problem with the Gorilla Platform ones.Crimson0

It's the luck of the draw, I guess. I've completed five today, mostly aimed at older respondents, and two of them have already approved - a really good day for me.

Ridiculous survey, 180 pairs of photos, had to pick the one that looked the poorest, the two pictures were of the same photo but one had been given a light tan!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

When I do have successful access to a Study I have to say that I usually really enjoy doing them - and the remuneration is also always welcome too.Crimson0

I have been on Prolific for exactly one year yesterday, and in that time I've made just over £530 (394 approved studies). I'm pleased with that and it's about what I thought was possible based on my early experience with numbers of studies and the time I was prepared to spend waiting for them. This is despite long barren patches like over last summer - it evens out in time.
But I don't count on it and I am fully prepared for it to disappear in a puff of smoke. They have a queue of people waiting to be allowed to join, and a research model that prefers "naive" participants, so if I ever put a foot wrong or fall out with a researcher I know that there will be little point arguing to be reinstated. For the same reason I cash out pretty much whenever I reach £5!2 -
I feel much the same, Sapindus. I'm glad of every opportunity to successfully complete any studies, and really appreciate the payments, but I don't count on them. I look upon them as very welcome bonuses.
A lot of the studies are really iinteresting too. I hope your second year with Prolific is as fruitful as your first one.

Fill in captchas codes correctly and win a bonus that can be used to bet on a roulette game (desktop only)
By Philip Newall14 places£2.50 • £23.32/hr6 minsBest one I've had for a while, probably ever: fill in a page of captchas (took a couple of minutes), then it gave me a £5 bonus which I was free to gamble on an online roulette game for as long as I wanted or until it ran out. I just quit the game immediately and took the £5. £7.50 for less than 4 minutes, that's over £100/hour6 -
