I've just joined this site. How long should I expect to wait to see a survey? The "registration" process with all personal questions is quite exhaustive!
I joined a couple of months ago, and got no surveys to start with, so I wrote and asked them why - and I hadn't set up my cashout details in my account, which was causing it. Once I set that up the surveys started flowing in, and I've had over £50 from it so far. (Also, do check every so often to see if there are any new profile questions on the About Me page, as they don't tell you that there are a few new ones to be completed.)0 -

Yup i have similar issues also. You will be lucky if you have the tab open all the time that is also with extension installed. The extension is a weird one for me as many times studies pop up that have either one places left or full. What i find odd is a lot of these studies will not show up on the main site. Prolific is good but can be hit and miss at times.0

Do not forget people, that the extension is not from Prolific and is made by a 3rd party. Prolific did not commission it made.
I keep the tab open and together I get a fair number of hits.Debt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

A study looking into the cooking habits of Londoners - did anyone do this one? It asked for my email address at the end, without giving any reason or indication of what it would be used for (I'm not even sure this is legal under GDPR). The subject of the survey was online cooking courses, and I'm a little concerned that it was harvesting email addresses to advertise courses to.
I gave it a disposable email address, and sent a message to the researcher making it clear that I had not given my permission for it to be used for such a purpose, and asking what was the intended use of it.
Is this something I should also be bringing to Prolific's attention? I've never been asked for an email address or similar personally identifying information in past studies.0 -
You can give them your Prolific email address (on the study page below your Prolific ID).0

I had a reply about the email address clarifying that "The question was optional" (this was not stated at the time) "and the only use of it was to potentially ask follow up questions/clarifications to users who might've entered interesting comments in responses that asked for 'other'." Can't help feeling any follow-up questions ought to be asked via a follow-up study on Prolific, with a further payment, but I doubt I'll get asked anything more as I don't recall giving any interesting "other" responses.0

Did anyone else try to complete 'Study about Understanding New Word Meanings' and have an issue.
I started the study and completed the demographic questions and the it said preparing the study and then came up with an error page that said please return to the instruction page. I did that and then tried to reopen it and it goes straight from the start button to 'thank you for taking part'.
I've contacted the researcher but I've probably missed on to that £9.00 study now.Mortgage start: £121,500 Dec 190 -
